Colombia could make a real run.

They have their superstar and they play like a team.

They are really fast, very organized, have a solid back 4, have 3 very talented attacking players, and that superstar quality to lift them up.

There was a reason they were the most consistent and most impressive in the group stages, despite it being a relatively weak group.

If they win out, Germany and Colombia would meet in the semifinals.

If you don't find the attitude Uruguayans are taking about the bites wrong and utterly ridiculous you're either straight trolling, from Uruguay, or i'm a little worried that you have no idea of the right way to conduct yourself.

They feel sorry for him, think it's a conspiracy, or just plain think it's acceptable to do what he did.

You are right. I have them meeting in semis. Colombia meeting the Dutch in finals.

Eta - I'm still hungover. Just looked. I have Germany beating them and beating the Dutch. Just pretend like I never said anything.

Not really considering they are on the same side of the bracket.

Do you fill out your NCAA bracket after the round of 32 also?

Real Madrid didn't need Gareth Bale. At all. And they broke the bank for him.
If you think he didn't significantly improve their team this season, you're kidding yourself. Bale is one of the best players in the world. And he's only 24.

They had a Uruguayan journalist call in to the guardian podcast after the ban and she sounded like she was going to cry and said stuff like she wants to comfort him etc. It was embarrassing

Just think how dangerous this Columbia team would be with Falcao.

I'm in no way justifying it. I never did. All I said is I understand why they are acting this way. I'm just not into the "frick them I will never ever fricking frick frick dirty Uruguayan herp derp" mentality that people on this board seem to take and then have the nerve to say the behavior of other people is embarrassing.

Everyone keeps saying this, but who do you sit Martinez or Rodriguez?

If Falcao was in this squad would Rodriguez ever have got the chance to shine in the first place?
