If you want Laudrup you can find him vacationing in France. He's probably still not aware that he was fired from Swansea though so break that news lightly first.

So United and Barcelona will be looking for coaches this summer, possibly Arsenal too as Wenger refuses to commit yet. 3 of the biggest positions in the world and all in a World Cup shortened summer, will be very interesting.

The Guardian will tell you when they're just fricking around

United should go after Paco Jemez. See how many 6-5 games he can get himself involved in with a frickton of money and actual talent

that's interesting...but irrelevant since he's already said he doesn't want the job.

I'd go after Simeone

Why would he leave a La Liga winner? Because 2-3, possibly 4 players will be poached(i include goalie, who's on loan). Atletico has limitations, especially in the cash front, compared to Manu.

He will never own Spain, Barca and Real madrid will always be the darling. When MANU is winning, they are the darling.

I agree 100%... think he's gotten by on money and a weak domestic league... he was way out classed by Morinho earlier this month..

United is a step up, but Atletico will retain the core of their team. They might not retain enough to push for the title again, but they'll retain enough to push for silverware, which might be enough to keep him there.

They have a few, decent younger players out on loan, the majority of their team won't be particularly attractive in the transfer market, and if they can't secure Courtois for another year, they have Asenjo who, while not Courtois, has played well for Villarreal this year.

I'm not buying the "he left him with an aging squad" thing either. They won the title the previous year. SAF is just that good
He is that good I agree. But the roster is old, very old.

The best thing about Van Gaal is he believes through and through with a strong youth set up.

He said one day Barca would field a starting XI of nothing but Barca youth players and was laughed at then it came true.
