As I just pointed out, would you then agree that the Cypriot league is better than the French league?

Also, Apoel lost the first leg. Man U got raped in both legs.

That's true I forgot about that. Well then lets move away from that and focus on the hypothesis that if Bayern and Chelsea win Barca and Real are still the best two teams in the world.

Let's focus on Barca ripping Chelsea a new a-hole, over 2 legs, and leaving them broken and beaten for May 5th

I see your point, but you're arguing against the dandy one...

We should actually pull for Chelsea. Focused on CL final =/= focused on FA final.

I cant

I guess I hope Barca leaves them some hope after Wednesday... Them destroys them... They are also playing Newcastle and Arsenal in that timeframe who are all after a CL spot...

We, on the other hand, have nothing to play for except this...

NOBODY other than Germany and second rate spanish clubs gives a flying shite about the EL. When you are in a battle for the EPL(a much more prestigious and important title) losing is a goddamn blessing.

There are countless articles on both Manchester teams losing their EL fixtures on the google machine. I would figure a 13 year old with a retard IQ like yourself could even find them.

You really ought to keep away from the internet whilst menstruating.

Nobody is saying that it isn't/wasn't a blessing in that sense.

Pay attention, I am typing s-l-o-w-l-y:

Once again, the players selected to go out on the pitch and play, do not go out there to lose. Especially those who are not starters or habitually see little playing time. Do you understand this?

Do you the think he of the red face says, 'go out there and really f*** it up laddies'?

Some of this seems to be answered in Soccernomics, no? I'm not quite done with it but what I've gotten so far is that:

A)Clubs are impacted much by recessions or economic downturns

B)Soccer clubs are ran by idiots

C)England and the English are stubborn

It's not that the English have underachieved at major tournaments, they just haven't lived up to their unreasonable standards. It's a bit like the Notre Dame psyche, where there's a belief ND should be competing for National Championships every year, regardless of any academic/athletic/personnel hindrances that prevent this.

Another problem with English football, is the utter bogs and mud pits where they play games. Aside from the occasionally used artificial pitch I played on, every natural field I played was a terrible lumpy, muddy, sometimes frozen travesty to recreational sports. It's difficult to develop "pretty" football when players are constantly forced to kick the ball out of a puddle or patch of mud. Britain's generally lousy climate largely dictated the development of kick-and-run tactics on the isle.

Granted they're fairly expensive initially (but cheaper in the long run), and have an unfair reputation for being "poor" playing surfaces, but every artificial pitch I played on in England was lightyears better than the grass fields.

I mentioned before that your average intramural English player is fairly talented (although typically a complaining a-hole), but slightly more adept at the physical side of the game.

A technically gifted player like, Joe Cole should have been a lynchpin for England's constantly ineffective central midfield, but he was forced to play out wide, while physical players like Gerrard and Lampard were preferred in box-to-box roles. That's where the ignorant English stubbornness comes into play.

Spot on. England has forced out any classy central midfielder who didn't fit the ideal box to box role that the modern game doesn't accommodate. When Paul Scholes is forced wide left to accommodate two of the same type of midfielder, it's no wonder England has struggled. Scholes is the best England midfielder of his generation, and in terms of technical ability and passing range, some ways ahead of Gerrard and Lampard, both of whom are excellent players. Scholes for me was a lynchpin type of player, someone who can dictate the pace of the game to the other team. Cole may have had that type of ability, but never really excelled in central roles, for various reasons.

This year, to claim maure is better than Bilbao is just as laughable.

BUT BUT BUT the 6th best English team beat the 2nd best Spanish team. So EPL > La Liga right?

Barcelona has shown me nothing to make me believe they are better than Chelsea.

You obviously don't understand soccer then. All is good, the world needs bufanda and beer buyers to fill the seats as well. There is no law against not understanding what one is seeing.
