You lost the struggle. I get that they don't have the depth of an average championship team, but the top-end talent and quality of play is higher.

Keane and Gerrard would struggle to keep fit for an entire Championship season. Their age is an issue.

Dos Santos and Gonzalez are likely Championship quality players, but the others are well below the quality that you would want in a starting XI.

Two aged has-beens and two players of quality does not equal a promotion campaign.

The Championship you have 46 league games plus the League and FA Cup.

The Galaxy would be smoked in that type of campaign

Anyone thinking they would get promoted out of the Championship probably doesn't watch the league.

The MLS is not as good as a couple 2nd divisions in Europe. Clearly thats going to change with raising the salary cap or ditching it along with better youth development.

10 years from now this will be a valid point of MLS teams having the quality to earn promotion.

You're really trying hard to drive home your point when Gio Dos Santos is "likely" a Championship quality player.

I mean, we're all bringing our respective biases to the table here, but...wow.

The english game is a liitle more physical then he experoenced at Villareal... he's a great player but it questionable whether he'd thrive on a muddy, cold pitch in Northern England. If he could transition I'm sure he'd be one of the best forwards in the league. But that's a big if...

The real question is could he thrive on a cold, windy night at the Britannia stadium against a Tony Pulis managed side?

Could he ever?
