Eh, it's his first season. Still going with Donovan. Henry was really good, too. Beckham had his moments of brilliance.

Id say he is the most technical player ever who played in their prime.

Exhibits the gap between Europe and the MLS right now. Gio was a good, but not notable player in Serie A.

I am glad we have him stateside in his prime though.

I agree, but not being a consistent starter for a champions league finalist isn't really a knock. Plus he got called up to the Italy squad again since playing here.

Right now, he is the best player that's ever played in the league, in terms of being at his peak.

He's not the best all-time, which I would credit to a guy like Donovan who was great over a period of years.

17 goals and 13 assists is just insane.

I love that a 5'4" guy is dominating the MLS. Soccer is such a great sport. Gives people a chance, regardless of size. And I say this as a big centerback.

Is he one of the best players to play here in their prime? Seems that way.

Best of all time? It's too early for that. Donovan holds that position currently with a few contenders like Henry and Keane not far behind him in terms of purely careers in MLS.
