you better have meant me arse

messi is an incredible player and an honest player for the most part. i was incredibly discouraged that he didn't come out with a public apology though to the fan he hit. i think he is better than that. his emotions got away with him, but i expected more from him. doessn't take away my appreciation of his skill

When Wenger is gone.

On RM v. Barca:
I'm not a fan of either team (Bilbao), but I give my cheering edge in the rivalry to Barca. My reasons:

1. I love Xavi. I think he is the best player in the world. (Where's AuTig?)
2. They gave the KoK a Champions League medal
3. I hate Ronaldo and di Maria
4. Franco's XI doesn't sit well with me
5. I enjoy nationalistic sides (Celtic, Bilbao, Barca, etc.)
6. Barca play a style that is pleasing to the eye

That being said, once Qatar goes on the kit, I will have to rethink this

A correct call to a madridista no doubt, but I guarantee you that if Ronaldo would have been in the same position, then your tune would be oh so different.

di stefano said the same thing about the 1:4 match, and i'll give you that we were more defensive minded. xavi said it after the copa final.

Do you remember in the second half of the Copa, when Barca finally implemented their game and were taking the game to Madrid, how Madrid constantly pumped the ball from the back. For 30 minutes they just booted it up-field to nobody except Barca's defenders.

This is correct more for Real. Jose's done it everywhere he's gone. His Porto teams were

touche. one side will never be happy with the call. i though he was on until the replay.

so was barca's inability to implement their game in the 1st half b/c of themselves or madrid's attacking game plan? i give y'all the edge in the 2nd half, but that match (as a whole) had some beautiful football from both teams. i don't think my boys showed up to park the bus and i think xavi is an arse for implying it

Oh add this to the list of thing Barcelona fans criticize on a daily basis.

Pure cash grab, nothing more.

For CR7 and Di Maria yes. But, I have never seen Di Maria play like he did in the Copa Final. He was great and not a flop machine.

i love xavi as well...for spain. i understand you have too many national teams to pull for
i'm so over the franco thing. honestly. on this particular board it has no place. my boys are not facist and my club is not facist. do you want to hate a team? hate atleti...they were franco's club. i understand people hating cris...i did until the day he was allowed to wear the white kit. angel pisses me off matchly. barca cannot really be called a nationalistic side imo. not anymore. i cannot hate on their play, b/c i like the midfield play for the national team.

I hated Barca before we got knocked out twice. Mainly the whole Cesc ordeal which admittedly was largely overblown, but still wore thin on me.

We complain about Wenger because we have profits and he doesn't spend. I think every Arsenal fan is glad that Kroenke ended up becoming our owner instead of Usmanov. I, and most other Arsenal fans, have no desire to become the next Chelsea/Citeh.

Fabregas is nothing like Alves or Busquets. Fab certainly goes down easy at times, but he also gets fouled more than anyone on our team. Not exactly like Messi but he gets kicked and shoved late more than anybody in the EPL.

No one on this board thinks Ronaldo isn't a dick.

I only criticized Pep for actually falling for Jose's bait and responding fairly poorly. Great coach.

And one last thing, Eboue is a horrible diver. If not for his hilarious antics I'd hate him.

Several players play or have played for the Catalonian "national" side. Hell, how do you think Puyol injured his leg for 3 months?

i don't play the politic game. i don't have enough knowledge of the situation, nor do i have any effect on it, to make any comments.

So did Xabi Alonso (The only player I like on Real). By nationalistic side, I meant fan and club history, not current make-up.
