It's been speculated for a while, but his health finally did him in.

Seems that Hughes and Moyes are the favorites, although there's been rumors Ancelotti, Benitez and Jol are in the fold. A lot of fans want to go after Roberto Martinez.

Thoughts?

My top 2 would be Jol then Moyes...whoever comes in doens't need to do much, a new keeper and get the defense back to 2 years ago form

Imo all that needs is Wanrock back from oblivion and try to get Walker permamently.

I'm hearing Kevin MacDonald (the caretaker early on) will be given the job.

Why would he go to a club with less talent than he already has?

Martin O'neill would be a great choice

This. But I think if, for some idiotic reason, Moyes goes, MON steps in.

That's debatable, considering both teams have been nearly identical to each other in the table the last few years. Villa also has more money, better facilities and many Everton fans think the Moyes era might've run its course.

Not sure if serious, particularly since MON and Villa just reached their settlement at tribunal a couple of weeks ago.

He's not (other than thinking they made a poor decision to let him go...).

By the way 5 Live speculated Hughes could be headed to Tottenham instead of Villa if Harry goes to Chelsea.

They also threw out McLeish to Fulham. Imo, he would be a great choice even though Birmingham got relegated.

Wow, what a merry-go-round.
Cottagers supporters want Jol, too. Everton would be ingrates to let Moyes leave.
