Don't think the sending off had much to do with it though. Croatia had this much space in midfield even before that. And Cameroon's right side is the worst in the Cup, IMO.

I've thought about this... I think it'd be better if a red card sent off a player... but the team could sub for him instead of playing a man down
however if the team had used their 3 subs already... then they would play w/ 10

I don't agree with this at all. You should be penalized for doing something completely stupid or wreckless like Songe did today. He really screwed his team over by acting like a fool.

They likely have to win if Brazil ties or loses to Cameroon. (Not gonna happen). A draw leaves them level on points with Brazil, should they win, thus eliminating Croatia.

he screwed himself by doing something that dumb... and the team would still be hurt b/c... well... he wouldn't be in the starting XI if he wasn't better than the guy behind him
of course CRO was better than CMR anyway... but if this was Germany/Brazil or something like it... I'd rather it be 11 on 11 instead of 11 on 10 for 50 minutes
