Reach the Quarterfinals while playing attacking football.

Itching for some international football this summer and specifically our yanks.
What is the bare minimum expectations for the USMNT in your minds for this summer. Anyone think we don't even make it out the group?

Win the Copa America and Jurgen gets the boot. I am tired of playing like shite. We are the best fricking country in the world, and I am ready for our national team to have a manager that will allow us to progress.

Ohh I like that one.
I like the thought of a back line with an in form Omar Gonzales, in form John Brooks, Geoff Cameron playing every week for Stoke, Miazga at Chelsea.
Just please NO ALVARADO or Orozco please!

I don't think any manager would be able to guarantee the US 1st place in Copa.

I just want to win a game past group stage.

If we integrate the great young talent into the first 11 such as Pulisic, Miazga, etc. And we find the correct roles/positions for everyone. Yea I know it is a big if with Jurgy.

In the same breath, start planning for the future. Have your core group of guys but start integrating those young players who haven't been given much of a look but have impressed when they have.

So the World Cup and Euros are just exhibitions.. Your comment is perhaps the dumbest thing ever posted on this board. Copa America is the oldest international soccer competition.

Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay care.. A LOT.

I have no expectations.

It's like having a AAA baseball team in town. You pay attention and even attend because there is noting else. But it is still second rate.

Well to be fair, those competitions award a confeds cup spot, this awards nothing.

I have a feeling though that this is just the beginning of this type of thing and eventually the winner will get a confed cup spot

This tournament has no stake for Confed Cup and they had to petition FIFA to get International Release status for players. It is fricking money grab. Brazil cares so much that Neymar is staying home in Brazil to play in Olympics.

In his home country. The pressure is immense on Brazil.

ETA: Winners of the World Cup and Euros don't get anything except a trophy. Tying it into some other tournament is dumb.
