They would cut this down to 12.

I'd demand Ohio Stadium. Columbus is our true US Soccer home, only seems fitting we play at least one match in the 100,000 monster that we could undoubtedly fill for a World Cup match.

Rose Bowl
Coliseum
Cotton
FedEx
Jerry World
Metlife
Sun Life
Reliant
Arrowhead
Mile High
Raymond James (Tampa Bay)
Gillette
Husky (UDub)
University of Phoenix
Georgia Dome
M&T
Lincoln Financial
LP Field
Century Link
Qualcomm
Lucas Oil

The best line-up I have seen so far is as follows:

CenturyLink
Rose Bowl
Gillette
MetLife
Solider Field
Mile High
Sun Life
JerryWorld
Levi's
FedEx
BoA
Reliant

Maybe the new Minneapolis Stadium (TCF Bank) in place of Charlotte. Maybe Qualcomm in there somewhere.

We would have six to eight potential championship sites - that would probably be the biggest issue. I could see any of Los Angeles (Rose Bowl), San Francisco (Levi's), Seattle (CenturyLink), Dallas (JerryWorld), Chicago (Soldier Field), New York (MetLife), or Boston (Gillette) hosting the title game. Of those, my preference would be SF - a gorgeous beach/mountain town just outside one of our greatest cities would be inspired, not to mention that it would be the highest tech stadium in the world.

Has a World Cup game ever been played in a dome? Would seem weird to me. Is FC Dallas stadium not big enough?

USA's first game in the 1994 World Cup was playing in the Silver Dome in Detroit.
