This is accurate for the most part. The most important thing in all of it is chemistry.
I put in almost 2500+ hours into mostly FUT in FIFA14 to the point of having 3 accounts for trading, and at one point, the 87th highest team in squad rating in the world. I can tell you without a doubt that if your chemistry isn't high, you will lose whether you're in division 10 or division 1. Another thing is that your team instructions and playing players in roles they are fit for will dictate how well they actually play. So, make sure if you're using Futhead to look at the thumbs up or down along with their traits. Fredy Guarin, for example, had sick long shot, and I was building a team so I got him. The amount of curled long shots I made from 30yds is insane.
For example, I had a team that was literally full of superstars early on. Rooney, Robben, Hazard, Ozil, Toure, etc. I'd lose. Because there were issues with how I played versus how they actually needed to be played. Rooney has actually always been a freak of a goalscorer for me while most people either won't use him as he was "too slow" while I use him constantly because he's physical and an insane shooter. He just was terrible in the formation I played him in as a lone striker. I built a good but not amazing Italian team and played possession. Shot to Division 1.
Just be careful with FUT. It's got tons of shite that will make you go insane. I had to stop playing it seriously after that year. I broke a controller when a TIF Hazard being consistently caught from behind by CBs and his first touch looking like a ball bouncing off a brick wall made me lose a match that would have won the Div 1 title. It gets hyper addicting.

I just don't get how people get into pay to win games. I tried playing it a coiple years ago finally and couldn't stand losing to people who paid for packs.
My team isn't bad though due 100% to all the free gold packs you get from pre-ordering.

Update on my Portsmouth career...after several weeks away from the game due to vacation and Mardi Gras.
Picked it up in late July before the League One season started. As I won the FA Cup last season, I got to face Chelsea in the Community Shield. I won the match 3-0 but it should have been much closer. Diego Costa couldn't hit shite. He probably should have had 3 goals on his own. But I'll take it. That's now a league title, FA Cup, Community Shield and pre-season tournament victory sitting in my trophy case ins just over a year at the helm
Despite selling my best 2 strikers last season during the winter window and earlier this summer window, I still have a 65 OVR ST that's going to be my main attacking option with a 68 OVR CAM sitting just behind him. My CAM is getting up there in age, though, so one of my primary focuses this offseason has been to find a young CAM or 2 to bring into the team and ultimately take over the starting role. I found a 19 year old CAM in the Dutch league and had a deal agreed upon for around £800k. The little bastard kept giving me shite excuses as to why he couldn't agree on a contract. 1st was that he wanted to know his role in the club, even though I offered him a better weekly salary than he was asking for. So I told him that he'd be a squad rotation player...which he would. That wasn't good enough despite him only being a sporadic player at his current club. I got up to offering him an "important 1st team" role and he then tells me that he like living where he is too much to move. Whatever dude, go frick yourself.
I hopped over to a different young CAM that was a 63 OVR at only 18 years old. Purchased him for about the same price then he started giving me the same shite. BUT, we came to terms thankfully. I also grabbed a 65 OVR CAM from Bayer 04 Leverkusen on loan as my main CAM went down with a broken ankle in a league match just before the transfer window closed. He's out for 7 weeks.
I'm also going to keep an eye out for young GKs as my 33 year old is in great form and I got a ton of offers for him this window. I'm hoping to identify a replacement during the fall and make the 2 moves happen in the winter window.
I've progressed in the Capital One Cup nicely with easy victories. But I decided to sim the J Paint Trophy and lost 4-3 on PKs to Bury. Oh well, I'm mid-table as we move into August. Hopefully I can gain some ground before the winter window.
A funny transfer note, Daniel Sturridge was bought by Borussia Dortmund for £30 million!

The biggest myth about ultimate team is that you need a good team to win. I play with an mls squad and do just fine. Then I just open packs for the rest of the time .

In fact, there's a ton of conspiracy and rumor that having an amazing team hurts you. If I play with a gold team that's around 79-80 with a few non-rares, I win like crazy. Fill it out? Losing left and right. I went 27-6-1 with an okay Italian and PL team rotation. No one amazing. Fill out the teams with all rare golds and top players? Same division is impossible to win in.
I know it's likely 90% mental, but this is EA we're talking about here so anything is possible.

I won the league by a single point over RB Leipzig. Drew against them in the 2nd to last game of the season. Hit a killer goal from 30+ ft out to equalize quite late in the game. Promoted 4 youth players at the end of the season, and I think I finally found a future star with a 61 rated 15 yo LW.

How long can you play FUT on a certain years game? I just got into playing FUT and still have FIFA15, how long will they continue to have cards and update everything? At a certain point will they stop support for 15 and I'll have to buy 17, or 18 and so on.

im not entirely positive on this, but my guess is that they are done updating cards and shite on fifa 15. you can still play as long as other people are playing and the transfer market will rely on other people still playing 15 and buying/selling shite.

I've been a little disappointed with him since I wanted to use him a bit more in the attack. Currently trying to train some of dribbling, passing attributes.
