As long as college football is available for me to watch, I really don't care who or how many watch soccer.

Great attitude. I have a hard time understanding folks who get bent out of shape simply because some folks like soccer.

I agree. Also, anybody who watched the final games of the EPL season on May 13, 2012 will be hard pressed to argue that soccer is boring. That was absolutely crazy.

The american teams successes in both mens and womens soccer have helped promote the game here as well IMO.

I agree with the rise in the popularity of soccer. I played soccer all of my life but college football and the nfl are still my favorites, however, I have started watching soccer a lot more than I used to. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes number two in the next 10-15 years.

I think soccer is marketed towards the younger kids and is much more accessible for them on tv than it used to be. Houston dynamo tickets are 20 bucks. The nfl and college football have priced the family out of events.

Also a lot of the big games are at night with football and my kids have to do to bed or lose interest.

The big premier league games are on in the mornings and my kids will watch them before we get going with their activities on the weekend.

For non-soccer fans, NO. As a soccer fan, I think it is amazing.

Agree, Lebron and all the NBA can shrivel up and die.
I hope the MLS continues to grow, but it is not the 2nd most popular sport in the US.

So making the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament is nothing worth noting?

Uh, who mentioned NCAA Tournament?
My opinion is that unless the US team makes it to the quarters, semi's on a regular basis, NON-soccer followers will never notice and won't care. The average fan wants a "winner" and will never appreciate the level of competition in Soccer worldwide.
