Did Mourinho blow it with De Bruyne?

Kevin De Bruyne was voted player of the year by the players in Bundesliga. He had 10 goals and a league record 21 assists.
Obviously, Chelsea is doing fine. But what in the hell was Mourinho's problem with De Bruyne? He's a brilliant player. One of the best young players in the world.

Yeah. Belgium is easily my second favorite national team. Three Spurs players and De Bruyne, who is a friend of the overseas fam.

Didn't work as hard defensively as Mourinho wanted. Wasn't happy with his play time because he was behind Oscar. There were rumors him and Mou had a falling out, but he played them down. However, he's been taking shots at Mourinho/Chelsea's play style all year sooooooo....
