Aficionados, what is his ceiling? Looks a little technically raw but what an athlete. He looks and plays like what I would expect Americans to bring to the game.

Is there any future for that type of player overseas?

ETA: A little self bump for the Belgium game. I feel like he has no idea what he's going to do when he gets the ball. But he wants the ball and shows no fear when he gets it. We're not as technical as the rest of the world right now, but I feel like he is the kind of player we can throw out there to give more talented teams a fit.

Brek Shea signed with Stoke, so there definitely is a market for that type of player.

Since he still young and raw, it's hard to tell. Not that he can can get there, I would would hope that he is a Fabian Johnson type/caliber player in the future. That may be a stretch, but him being that type of player would help us greatly.

He has the potential to be a mainstay on our defense for years to come.

Future definitely looks bright for our back 4. Fabs, Cameron, Besler, Brooks, Yedlin, Chandler.

Could probably add Erik Palmer-Brown as well.

His future is very bright. As people have said he's very raw, but if he goes overseas and refines his technical ability he could be a world class wing back.

He has something that can't be taught and that's composure. He came into the game yesterday and looked like he was a seasoned vet. The kid has a chance to be a really special player if he develops his game the right way.

His future is as a wing back. He just needs to learn positional awareness and he'll be fine. He looks like an elite athlete

I know I said wing-back. He reminds me a lot of Ashley cole.

ETA: Said winger, meant wing back.

I don't like dealing with absolutes, especially when it comes to World Cup cycles, but if he is not starting for us in 2018, he is either injured or somebody messed something up somewhere.

He has a shite ton of potential.

Dude can fly, that's for sure.

Wasn't it the board consensus that Yedlin would not see the field? Yedlin was a "wasted spot" that could have gone to Donovan?

Yeah those people were wrong. Jurgen clearly intends to play the players he brought to Brazil.

Yup he just needs to calm the frick down

With his skill set id like to seem him make a move to the Bundesliga soon while he's at that age to be molded.

No, it's Brad Davis who was a waste and could have gone to Landon.

People had been saying that about Davis, Yedlin, and Green.

You are such a Sporting KC homer. I love it. EPB has a ways to go, but he could be a great one.

Well if we're talking four years down the road, he'll be 21. He should start seeing more playing time soon. By all accounts, the kid is pretty good.

He will be an outside back that could allow Fabian to play the wings in a couple years. However, I am not ready to trust Yedlin at RB yet. He did prove he can play at the international stage and not shite himself like he did in those friendlies, so that was good.
