Great game. A fully fit Robben added to that would have probably broken the internet.

Right? That advantage was incredible

I don't know if my pants could have handled that

That last goal was just a perfect example of the danger of the Barça front three. You can't stop them.

Adding in both Robben and Ribery would have resulted in a Ray Hudson brain aneurysm.

The front 3 are amazing. I will admit I haven't seen much of them this year, but I was amazed how at times it was a front 5 while they were playing out of the back. Just 5 guys spreading out Bayern's backline waiting for the attack to come forward

That last goal was a product of Bayern selling out to get an away goal. Not really indicative of Barca's strength.
The strength of their front 3 was a lot more evident in the first 20 mins but Manu just so happened to be in God mode.

I hope that second Messi goal didn't kill him :|

Honestly, it's crazy that the game was even that close. If Lewandowski doesn't Wondolowski that cross in the first half, it's a completely different match. Selling out for the away goal at the end was the nail in the coffin though. 2-0 was doable, 3-0 most likely isn't.

Redknapp just said what Messi did to Jerome was almost illegal

I'm a soccer newbie but it really does frustrate the hell out of me that the very best matches of the year are during the middle of the day during the workweek. Why can't these be on the weekend? I'm sure money and their domestic leagues are the reason, but it's BS that these games are not on the weekend.
Ok, I'm done.

Great day of soccer today. That was entertaining.

Yeah, like you said, it's the domestic schedules. Not having to move all the domestic fixtures to weekdays where there's less attendance or having to rearrange too many domestic fixtures.
It mainly just sucks from the US because they're on prime time in Europe.

Well, atleast now the finals are on the weekend. This is only the fourth year. UEFA got smart after seeing US TV ratings for a match during the week.

For all the acclaim Guardiola's tactics seemed to be getting at the bar where I was watching, they reminded me of Zeman's in the beginning 15 minutes: better at creating an entertaining match that giving your team the best chance to actually win it.
After that it seemed to just tried to maintain some possession in their half to around midfield as a defensive strategy but not commit forward until they went down 2 goals.
For all the "bravery", I'm not sure Bayern actually had a single shot on target.
On the other hand, in the two recent Barca matches I've watched recently, against Sevilla and Valencia, both just played a regular defensive, countering counter style. Both must have managed at least a half dozen shots on target, a couple of goals and a few hit posts and crossbars.
Bayern does seem to miss Robery and (or) Robben a lot. Doesn't even matter if those guys actually score but just the threat of them dribbling around three or four defenders opens up the spaces that allow other attackers to flourish.
