Well we have a friendly there in a couple of months and things are getting a bit chaotic right now. Think it might be a good idea to find a replacement or maybe get the game moved to another location?

Our boy thenry412 is out in Ukraine. Saw on Facebook he's safe and away from the violence.

The game is being played in Kharkiv which is heavily pro-government and about 250 miles away from Kiev where all the violence is taking place.

Even if things get bad we should probably look into playing the game in Stuttgart, where our camp is at. Unless Germany is playing there that same day.

The way the USSF is talking the game will be canceled if it can't be held in Ukraine. It is also being said that they won't play another country as Ukraine was the only ones willing to play in the first play.

I don't want to move the game if it can be avoided. Moving it to OUR base sends the wrong message too.

I'd either plain cancel or move it to a neutral site like Poland.

They are literally setting the streets ablaze and battling the police. I don't see how they can actually play this game in the Ukraine.

I remember a few years ago we were to play a friendly in Egypt and then the Arab Spring started.

Hmmm.....
So could we play a game of fifa on xbox live and call it a day? I'm not sure moving the match would be politically wise?

Yeah things look crazy in Kiev right now. I think the state department said that any Americans there should not go outside.

They were in southern Spain when all of this shite started getting really bad. I don't even know if they've been back.

It’s possible that the venue for the game could be changed, the way Thursday’s Dynamo Kiev-Valencia UEFA Europa League game was moved to Cyprus. That would be handled by the Ukrainian federation, however.

If the game is called off, U.S. Soccer could look for another team to play. With only a friendly with Mexico remaining on April 2 – for which European-based players will not be released – before World Cup camp opens, competitive minutes are precious.

"We would look at any other option if playing in Ukraine was not possible." said Buethe. But it is acknowledged that finding a different opponent at such short notice would be difficult, and the more likely scenario would be to relocate the match.

Spurs play in Ukraine tomorrow. Its not in Kiev, but I imagine anyone trying to get there has to go through Kiev.

Dnipropetrovsk has an airport open to chartered flights, which Spurs are surely using.

US Soccer will probably do the same to get the players from Germany to the Kharkiv airport. They'll be staying in Ukraine for only a day and leaving immediately after the game.

I'm sure your right about the team, but there were probably a number of fans flying from London to Kiev and connecting. I guess if they don't leave the airport they'll be fine.
