Arsenal pipped Atlético de Madrid for it´s seeding. I don´t get how Porto and Benfica are both there. One is the Portuguese champion, but the other?
I mean, if it´s because they´re the Europa runner up, why isn´t Borussia Dortmund seeded?
ETA I´m sure it´s based on history, as that was the reason for Arsenal being seeded. Benfica´s 2 European Cups from the 60´s are still worth something?

They've performed consistently well in Europe over the period in question, there has been some relatively large restructuring near the top of all four major European leagues, and there has been some significant money thrown around elsewhere.
