I don't think so.

We are one of the few countries in the world cup where soccer is not the #1 sport in the country. You could argue that soccer is #4 in this country. Baseball is the only sport that may be less popular.

I be interested to see what percentage of high schoolers in the United States play soccer exclusively compared to other nations. I suspect it will be a very significant difference.

No team not from Europe or South America has EVER advanced to the final, let alone won the cup.

In addition, only the 1930 U.S. and the 1966 USSR have made it to the semifinals.

Yes. But we need to teach the young kids who play soccerball that not everyone gets a trophy in the real world.

There's no doubt that the US will have chances to be special in 2018. If a guy like Azalelem comes to the US we will have a terrific technical player in the midfield. We have strong youth of the squad and will only get better.

They are on the way. Lots of very young talent in Europe.
