Men in Blazers started this rumor, which is understandable as their routine is to pump up American soccer.

Sunderland have not approached Stabaek concerning manager Bob Bradley, the Norwegian side have told Sky Sports News HQ.

Sky sources understand Sam Allardyce is in contention for the vacant role at the Black Cats, as well as Burnley boss Sean Dyche, and the club have been inundated with offers from interested parties.

It is also SSNHQ's understanding that Sunderland are keen to bring in a manager with Premier League experience which would seem to rule out Bradley

welp

Steve Bruce would be a good hire for Sunderland. He had them playing the best football in years prior to being sacked. I don't know if he would leave promotion contenders in Hull City for Sunderland.

Nigel Pearson, and they could do much worse.

I would like to see BB get a shot at a big (comparatively) gig.

Good guy, good manager...things just got stale with the USMNT.

Steve Bruce and us are irreparable. I'd rather us go down than bring him back. First choice is big Sam. He knows the region, knows the club. Also wouldn't mind Nigel Pearson especially if he brings in Kevin phillips as one of his coaches.
