Best soccer team in the world?

Don't think such a list exists because it is pure speculation.

However, I would say that Barcelona is better than Spain though because they have Messi. Alves is better than Arbeloa, and while Ramos is better than Puyol or Mascherano and Iker is better than Valdes, that isn't enough to offset the greatness of Lionel. And now they've got Neymar, too...

Can't argue with that after this year's Champions League.

Nah. I'm talking current standings. Right now Madrid have no manager and are on the verge of a player-exodus.

RM hires Ancelotti and buys any combination of Suarez, Bale and Isco and I will switch #3 and #4.

I would disagree, though I undoubtedly watched Juventus the least amount last season out of any team that would make my top 10.

I really only watched them in the CL, when they played Napoli and when they played Roma.

I'm just not sure what to make of Man U right now. I'm not sure how good Moyes will be. Their best player is pushing 30, Rooney may be on the way out. Their defense is old. They will benefit a lot from Thiago if they get him but they still need another holding midfielder. We'll see though.

Great assessment. I wholeheartedly agree.

Need to start gradually making changes now...Thiago and a young holding midfielder would be a great first step. Another LB (not sold on Buttner there), another rotation option at striker, etc. down the road...

Jury's still out on him defensively for me. I've heard rumblings that he'd rather play midfield, since that's his old position, but nothing concrete. The couple of times we ran a 3 back this season, he did well at left mid.

Granted, he's got time to improve and Evra's not done yet. I wouldn't be very comfortable with him back there if Evra went down tomorrow.

Fabio is also an option. Would be nice to see him turn out as well as his twin brother. Big fan of Rafael.

Smalling and Jonny Evans, who shockingly had a really good year, are great options behind Vidic and Ferdinand for the next year or so. Maybe add another young player there? I like Jones better in a midfield role, think that's where he'll eventually be. He can provide emergency cover at CB.

And Moyes has never had to do that. No one knows how good his long-term squad building is at this moment...but his other attributes are why I'm excited he's our new manager.
