That's a huge blow for Belgium in the World Cup. This sucks I really like him and was looking forward to him and Lukaku in Brazil

We just covered achilles rupture last week in musculoskeletal disorders
But seriously, that is terrible for villa and the world cup. I wonder how much this will temper expectations for Belgium

I thought they were the same. Maybe americanoutlaw can drop some knowledge and explain the difference

Almost just wanted to get a lot of $$$ from him and move on, but maybe you're right. Been an up and down year for him.

I'll differ to PT bob on this one, I'm sure he'd give a more in depth breakdown. I'll just say that achilles is at the base of your calf, above the heel and acl is in the knee.

Basically this. Your ACL is one of cruciate ligaments in your knee. Your achilles tendon is the tendon that attaches 3 of your plantarflexor muscles to your calcaneous (heel bone).

Achilles rupture is usually a more serious (rehab wise) injury. Instead of 6 or 7 months think 9 or 10. Of course it differs from patient to patient.
