Benny Feilhaber is speaking his mind: "I don't think Jurgen calls in the best players available, and I think that's an issue." #USMNT

Feilhaber continues: "It's not based on on-field performance. I don't know what it's based on, but it's not based on on-field performance."

Yup, its all based on who plays in Europe. They're first, then everyone else.

Sacha Kljestan says hi.

Guy was one of the only (if the only) American to play CL at a position of need for the USMNT and yet he is left behind. There is really no method to Klinsmann's madness.

I like Benny.

He's right. Not sure who would downvote the OP, unless they either dislike Benny or think that Jurgen isn't doing what he's being accused of by Feilhaber. That said, it's pretty obvious at this point that Jurgen says one thing and then does another. I don't really think that's up for dispute.

This may have been true 3 years ago

But Jordan Morris is the ultimate card which dismisses that chain of thought.

A relevant quote on Feilhaber, and interestingly enough, another midfielder who was left out in the cold before Jurgen, Kyle Beckerman.

“I’ve accepted the fact that Jurgen’s not going to call me,” Feilhaber said. “If I played the year that I played this last year and I’m not getting the call, I’m not going to get an opportunity under Jurgen. That’s something I just have to accept.”

Here is a video which gives a better impression of his feelings than just seeing the text.

All we need now is for Stu to come out with the same thoughts and this board would explode.

Lichaj being ignored has been one of the more frustrating ones too.

He has consistently been one of the better defenders in the Championship for a few years now. He can play RB or LB. Watch him play if you get a chance; he is a rock.

He is significantly better than Spector. His adaptability and position is a greater need. Yet Spector is the one getting a call.

It is just frustrating.
