Attack or defend tomorrow?

Easiest opponent in the hex that has brought a kind of experimental team in since they're already eliminated, which means they could be ripe for a beatdown if we throw numbers at them like we did on Friday.
A point basically gets us through, but a loss could spell doom, so we need to be careful of being too aggressive and getting burnt on the counter.
Under Bruce, we've played to three 1-1 draws in away matches in the Hex, largely due to taking more conservative approaches (2 holding-mids, Pulisic out wide in all three matches). Interested to see how we handle tomorrow.

I think we'll play in a similar manner to Friday. Call it "aggressive counterattacking". We mostly hang back and won't recklessly throw numbers forward, but if T&T coughs up the ball in an opportune spot, I bet our front 3 or 4 will have a lot of freedom to be aggressive and press the advantage. Pulisic and Wood did a great job of being aggressive on the counter and playing well with Jozy.
No need for us to take stupid risks like Panama did on Friday, but a win should be expected. We vastly outclass T&T in terms of talent, and they have nothing to play for.

Also, the last two international breaks have seen Bruce make wholesale changes to the XI

Playing for a tie would fricking stupid. You want to avoid if it all possible going into the last 20 minutes of this game with it all tied up.
At the very least Pulisic has to play through the middle. Our record with him as the 10 vs him on the wing is night and day

whatever setup allows us to get a goal early without over-extending our D. i would hate to be tied 0-0 going into the final 25-30 min. of the match, mainly because my heart won't be able to take it.
also, pulisic has to play in the middle from now on. how is his calf? i haven't heard anything, i'm sure he plays, but i'm wondering if it will be an issue?

I think you have to attack some. Go into halftime up 2-0 and the 2nd half will be much more relaxed.

Well the pitch is under water right now

They have a pump working on it.

I just want some continuity with the line-up. The 11 Friday played well, let them get some more time together. I'm not a big fan of Bruce's completely new 11's every game.

Better infrastructure than NOLA

The thing about potentially switching to a 4-2-3-1 is that removing an altidore or a wood for a mccarty or acosta is currently a major downgrade in talent and form. If we'd put Cameron next to bradley, I wouldn't necessarily hate the change, but it's not like he's played there often for us.
Wood, altidore, and pulisic looked extremely potent friday. I think you have to play them together again.

That pitch is still in better shape than the Honduras one.

I'd like to see us play exactly what we did vrs. Panama. I like having Wood/Altidore up top with Pulisic tucking in behind them.
