"Today there was one team who played ugly football against the best team in the world," Vidal said. "We were the better team. We managed the game, but we did not take the chances we had. The only time they saw the ball was their goal." Asked if he thought Atletico had deserved to reach the final, the former Juventus player replied: "Definitely not. Definitely not. "They will dream about us. They did not have the ball, they were up against the best team in the world, they took their chances and they are going to the final. In football the best team does not always win, as happened today."

They were better in the most important area of the game....finishing. Now BM can rest up and watch the final from home.

Not really that inflammatory. Bayern was the best team and dominated for 175/180 minutes but didn't take their chances. Vidal was amazing yesterday too. However, Bayern can't really complain. If you don't take your chances, you can't win in the Champions League.

Pretty salty. Reminds of Xavi after Barca lost to Chelsea. We dominated possession blah blah. So effing what. Finishing is the name of the game. Atletico did what they had to do to win.

"They will dream about us", lol

Sorry Arturo but they will be busy preparing for the Champions League Final. You, on the other hand, will have plenty of time to dream.

Yeah this is pretty much how knockout tournaments go. Bayern should've played better in the first leg though, would make this better team stuff more believable

He's right to a certain extent. I have no problem with him saying it. But I do think he should give some kudos to Athetico - if it was easy, everyone would do it. They work their butt off and take their chances well. Its not always attractive, but it worked this time. Hell, its worked for two years in a row in the champions league.

Not as inflammatory as the title suggests IMO. I also don't like cookie cutter answers.

lololol.

Is this just something comes with having Pep as your manager? How does his mind control even take over the fans of his clubs?

I mean, I'm not sure how that's even a debate for any rational minded thinker.

It's moreso than the title suggest. You'll dream about us? That was childish as frick.

That's probably a douchey thing to say but I don't really take everything people from other countries and cultures say literally, especially when it's been translated a couple of times.

Bayern knew what Atletico were going to do. Everyone knows what Atletico was going to do. I thought actually they didn't play quite as rough as they usually do. Atletico were caught out by the positioning of Ribery and Costa, and weren't able to press high up the field in the 1st half. This is when Bayern had the most chances, as Alonso and Boateng had lots of freedom to pick out passes. Once they brought on Carrasco and moved Koke inside, Atletico were able to press much better and were better positioned for the counter attack. Once they had an outlet for Bayern's pressing, which was actually a bad idea this game, they seemed much more in control.

I don't think Bayern were the better team. Just the team with the more pleasing attacking pattern.
