Y'all are like 2 signings away from being a real force.

Most people think this, except for the coach who apparently likes to make one signing to replace lost players and then calls it a day.

Question: Why did we pay 45 million euros for Xhaka when we could have gotten Kante for 10 million less?

There can be only one answer. Wenger rated Xhaka higher than Kante.

Xhaka is a much better fit for us. He is a great passer and can dictate play which fits in our possession scheme. Kante fits better in a counter attacking team where he can win the ball and then quickly transition to offense. Most teams concede possession when playing us which makes Xhaka more useful.

I like xhaka better also. But doesn't mean Wenger and kroenke are off the hook. Other squads are trying to strengthen, coaches have changed, yet Arsene remains the same.

I'm saying it guys, if he does not strengthen up top or at the back. Arsenal is finishing 5th.

We will have players out to start the season, then the players made of glass like Gibbs and Wilshire won't play much at all. You are trying to ship off one of the bright spots of last season in Campbell.

Regardless of these players being past their prime, rosicky, arteta, flamini, you still need capable players off the bench and need to replace them.

When will enough be enough?

love Santi but he can not play out wide. He doesn't have the legs anymore. I also would rather a worker(Elneny or Ramsey) next to Xhaka. Xhaka can make a tackle and is solid positionally but he is never going to cover that much ground. Finding a good balance is very important.

That balance worked before. I'm just saying, that's what we got. No one else is walking through that door.

But against teams that will sit back, we don't need two holding midfielders.

Ramsey would make those runs anyway, but flamini or arteta wasnt cutting it covering the back 4.

Why we are trying to move Campbell to another club I have no idea. He played better than both Walcott and ox.

Wenger's dislike for Campbell's game never made sense to me last year. He worked hard, connected well, created chances and scored goals.

Theo was invisible and Ox was maddeningly inconsistent.

I still haven't forgiven Joel Campbell for this:

I'm holding out hope for one of Higuain, Icardi, or Mahrez. Lots of rumors regarding the first two. Either one is fine by me.

Pretty much. I have decided to set my expectations low. Somehow, I know that I will still be disappointed lol

I still think we sign somebody to play up top - I'm not going to sit here and say we sign someone on the level of Higuain, but I don't see how Arsene can justify the move with Welbeck out and the fact that Theo up top has already failed.

Also given Giroud is going to get rested post-Euros, we need someone to start when the season begins. If that's Walcott, I'm not optimistic. And I've been a pretty avid Walcott supporter. I just tend to be realistic these days in that he's not good enough there.

One plays with his back to goal and the other does nothing but run in a straight line. We need a striker with a nose for the goal and is not so predictable.

Go watch our games from the early part of last season. Walcott looked more than serviceable as a striker against Man U, Leicester, and others. In the ten games before his injury against Sheffield Weds. he had 5 goals and 3 assists. His style of play fits in extremely well with what both Alexis and Ozil like to do. We are a more fluid side with him in the team.

His confidence is the issue, not his ability. He had a poor half-season after returning from injury, that I won't deny, but to pretend he isn't good enough is forgetting how good he can be. The injury issue wasn't really his fault either, as he had a muscle injury after being thrown on in a League Cup game where he didn't have time to warm up properly.

For me, he's a more than serviceable forward. When he's confident, which he was for years before his ACL, he is as good a wide player as there is in the league. His stats back this up.
