Once we switched formations Xhaka really took off. The 4-2-3-1 left him too exposed with too much defensive responsibly. With 3 at the back Xhaka started relying on his positioning and didn't feel the need to try those risky tackles that got him in trouble.

The following PL games are likely to move to Sundays as they are after Europa League matches: Chelsea (September 16), Brighton (September 30), Everton (October 21), Man City (November 4), Burnley (November 25), Southampton (December 9)

In addition, the following PL games could be moved to a Sunday due to Europa League involvement: Man City (February 24), Watford (March 10), Leicester (March 17), Southampton (April 7), Newcastle (April 14), Man Utd (April 28), Burnley (May 5)

December 2nd to January 1st seems to be the toughest stretch.

I'll be in London this season---

Hoping to get tickets to a match!

Already signed up for the Red Membership to access the ticket exchange portal.

If anyone has any advice/tips for snagging 2 tickets, I'd be very grateful.

Set up for an easy run in to the season. That helps.

Yeah, we should, should being the operative word, be able to take a lot of points from March on.

The November-December slate looks slightly rough, knowing how we play in cold weather.

Long nights just checking available seats. Finally two popped up with only one seat in between. Guy moved over so we could sit together.

That was for West Ham opening day though. Might be much easier for others.

Arsenal made a bid for Lacazette according to Lyon's president. But...

As I've said over and over again, OL is not going to sell him to Arsenal.

If this transfer window is a flop we are in trouble.

I expect it will be a typical summer of reading how "close" we are on a bunch of big names, but in the end, not much ends up getting done.

I am not investing any energy into transfer rumors this year. If Ornstein reports it I'll pay attention. That's it.

I'm going to stay positive for as long as I can. I think we extend Ox.

I don't see Ozil leaving. He won't find a better situation than he has here. Wenger let's Ozil skip training sometimes and he also protects Ozil from criticism. Plus there hasn't been any clubs showing interest in Ozil.

Rumor is we offering Sanchez close to 300k a week. He probably won't find anyone to match the wages we are offering. It comes down to whether or not he wants the money or trophies. I think we have at least a decent shot at keeping Sanchez.

If we are offering him 300K a week, then all I can say is, que sera sera. I hope we can keep him, but whatever will be, will be.

I feel more optimistic on keeping Ozil and, to a lesser extent, Sanchez, than I expected I would at season's end.

If the only suitor for Alexis is City, there's no way we sell him. There's been a lot of chatter that Ozil's deal has been basically done for a while.

Sounds like we're opening contract extension discussions for Ramsey to get ahead of the curve for next year, as well. Not sure if that's a ploy related to Ox or actual business we're doing. The Xhaka-Ramsey pairing was something like 12-0-1 in league play so I'm hoping we can keep Ramsey healthy (he says for the umpteenth time) next season.

The Lacazette rumors are heating up. Reports that we have met Lyon's price for Lacazette.

I don't want to get into too many if's but if Lacazette was purchased that may sway Alexis knowing he has someone who can take pressure off of him up front. Still a big ask because no champions league.

I don't think we'll get Mbappe. Lacazette and Lemar would be a nice summer and possibly another b2b cm.

There were rumors about us being interested in Goretzka. I think he would be a terrific signing. He would provide competition for Ramsey and add to our overall depth.
