We know exactly what will happen every transfer window yet it's always this disappointing. Still a day left, I have to be reasonable until it's officially closed.

A DM to push Coq and at the very minimum be a backup. What happens if Coq goes down with an injury? Everyone wants a striker but obviously that market isn't overflowing with options when United drop major money on Martial.

I'm okay with our DM depth. Simply because with a double pivot we don't necessarily need a DM. We are two deep there with Arteta and Flamini can do an emergency fill in. Or we can pair Ramsey and Cazorla/Wilshere, which we need to try anyway.
I do think we lack quality at CF but it doesn't sound like any upgrades were available.

I think United spending 40mil on an unproven 19 year old was a pretty good sign on how dry the striker market is.

I 100% agree but I can't believe not a single outfield player will be brought in. At the beginning of the window most of us said, "a few signings away." This club is known for its injury record and only shipped players out.
I'm trying to be reasonable as this is Arsenal's best squad in ages, but it's really hard not to be disappointed right now. Just feels like a lack of ambition.

Agree to disagree but I hate the idea that it is a lack of ambition. We obviously tried to go big and missed out.

On the positive side, did Hector receive an official Spain call up? If so, that would be an incredible accomplishment to get into that team at 19. He's quickly become one of my favorite players on the team.

Only team in top 5 euro leagues to not sign an outfield player. Crazy given the money we have to spend right now. If giroud or coq get hurt the pitchforks will be out.
