Costa is such a count. I can't tell from the replays, but if Per caught him on that tackle, it wasn't much. Still poor positioning and play.

Also shocked we took off Giroud. Campbell or Theo makes more sense. I get the counter idea but Giroud is our primary set piece target. And that's our best chance.

Words cannot express how shitty Per managed to play for 15 or so minutes. He passed it straight to them earlier but got bailed out, gave it right back to Willian on a terrible attempt at a clearance, and then got caught out on bad positioning and was too slow to even have a chance at recovering.

Why Mertesacker is turning his head mid tackle is beyond me. What a dumb move. Just let him have a shot on goal. 1-0 with 11 men is fine. Christ. Sit him the rest of the year. He's done.
