He's the back up plan. And meeting with donors means he is getting ready to announce.

quote:

Governor Glenn Youngkin headed to the Hamptons this weekend. Not for a relaxing day at the beach, but for a private dinner at the home of Wilbur Ross, Donald Trump’s former Commerce Secretary, who amassed a room of GOP mega donors to meet with the Virginia Republican.

Not officially billed as a fundraiser, Gov. Youngkin is said to have impressed dinner attendees – reportedly a who’s-who of the moneyed, establishment conservative class.

How many of the liberals who support Desantis (fun bunch, rammerjammer, cuckeye, jon spam, rmndlrtard, etc) will all of a sudden be diehard Younkin fans from 2018

Alternate reality.

Why do you have to lie?

Youngkin is good but a bit too moderate for my tastes.

I'd see what he had to say in debates like any other candidate. I know that is the craziest of evils to you.

Did you hear the rumor that Trump let the man participate in his beauty pageant because he was attracted to him?

He is the plan. Always has been the plan. Business savvy, beltway savvy, successful in the blue/purple state of VA. His education platform in VA is his springboard. He comin

Jon Hamm will just change color of his Power Ranger avi from red to pink once Youngkin gets into the race.

They need a backup plan. Trump will spend all of 2024 on trial, facing sentencing or appealing his convictions. He won't be able to campaign. This is going to be a disaster for the Republican party.

Thanks.

I do find it amusing that Trump supporters think he'll get a fair trial. My opinion of you is already pretty low, somehow you lower the bar daily anyway.

He won't run. He's not that stupid. He will sit and wait which is what DeSantis should have done.

People think he's going to run after watching what happened to DeSantis?

He's sitting where Desantis should be sitting, 2028 pole position.

I just don’t see him jumping in. He has to have seen Desantis not gaining traction and know that’s a bad sign. He’d be better off letting Desantis get bludgeoned and jumping in for 2028.

If he is smart he will wait. The power brokers are desperate and will do anything to get someone in there to take down Trump. It appears DeSantis wont garner enough support to do it so they are looking for anybody that possibly could.

I'm pretty dispassionate about politics, which makes it fun around the emotional midgets that frequent PT, but if Trump gets tied up with the BS legal stuff - I don't see it happening, but if - I will be pissed at Trumptards for leaving us with a choice between Nikki Haley and Tim Scott.

Real leaders sit and wait.

Trump had 4 years.

Didn't drain the swamp
Didn't shrink the government
Didn't build a wall
Didn't deport illegal immigrants
Did hire Wray, Bolton, Barr, Chao, Short, etc...
Did extend FISA
Did add 8 trillion to the national debt

We really can't waste anymore time with weak moderates. We need America First patriots in office. I don't blame DeSantis for realizing the position we're in and stepping up.
