FIFY....why fund this problem that isn't ours and ultimately has a negative impact on our security. I'm on the American side. Are you?

Judging from your posts I think you are more on the anti-semitic side. We give money to Israel but last time I checked we gave money to Palestinians too. Along with Egypt and I am sure quite a few more, are you saying you would like us to cut off aid to all countries or just the ones that you don't like.

There will never be peace in the middle east, way too many outsiders have a vested interest in keeping it going.

Let's be honest here most of those "rockets" were little more than fireworks. Hamas needs to leave the Israelis alone but you do not need tanks to retaliate for what are essentially black cat attacks. This is what leads to the huge discrepancy in casualty numbers.

This is a ludicrous argument. If the rockets killed someone, Hamas would be dancing in the streets celebrating Allah's victory over the Jews. The fact that they suck at rocket making in no way diminishes the seriousness of their intent.

If you attack me with a rusty pocket knife and I shoot you with a shotgun for it, don't feign surprise.

P.S. - the only people who attempt this silly argument are typically Pali-loving Jew-haters. I'll let you decide if you fit the profile.

The level that some of you guys will sink to because of the hatred of the Jews is unbelievable.

You have no basis for that but your own bias.

See my statement that you quoted - why fund this problem, all of them. Of course the negative impact will be felt most by Israel. And I'm very much unenamored with Israel, their abuse of our relationship and ultimately the extremely negative consequences of that relationship.

No, it won't.
We provide about 10% of the GDP of Gaza to them in aid.

Eta: prolly really 5%. We are giving the Palis around $600M total this year.

If you are for cutting off aid to all of these countries, does this mean you are an isolationist?

From what I understand, they take any metal pipe they can find and make a "rocket."

Perhaps you are correct, I seem to remember reading about Iranian supplied rockets.

Either way, their rockets are bad and they should feel bad.

Well I am pretty certain another peace loving Islamic regime in fact supplies Hamas and Hezbollah.

Nope don't hate anyone on this earth, I am disheartened by fools sometimes though. Sending tanks into neirborhoods over what amounts to firework attacks is pretty silly. How many people were killed or injured in these thousands of attacks. Does a 10 shot Roman candle count as one or ten attacks? The US does not and should not care about the palestinians or the Israelis but some of our largest trading partners do and this is a problem. This overreaction by Israel is going to have ramifications for the US as we are seen to be Israel's benefactor and protector. On a personal level each one of us will pay for this at the pump .

Not providing welfare isn't isolationism...that being said I'm fine with aid that benefits our interests in limited circumstances. I see no benefits to Palestinian/Israeli aid.

Thanks Iron Dome. Now what about all those tunnels full of school books and medical supplies?

I believe supporting Israel and Egypt is in our best interests. I will never understand our support of the MB in Egypt, Libya, and Syria. I understand why Saddam had to go, I wish that hadn't been the case but he had to go.
