I work in it. It feeds, houses and clothes my family.

Mary Landrieu has back-stabbed the industry with her JAZZ PAC. She can go to hell.

Never ceases to amaze me how Liberals demand perfection in Conservative candidates.

Their own candidates? Yeah, not so much.

Really, this is what bothers me most. I'm not particularly upset over Mary losing the seat. It probably was going to happen eventually.

I'm just discouraged by the quality of Republican candidates in Louisiana. Admittedly the Democrats here are capable of producing some real "doozies" at time, but the Republicans ought to come up with some better alternatives. It is sort of disheartening and embarrassing. Maybe the GOP in Louisiana just has to mature as the majority party.

What was so unacceptable about him? Mannerisms? Speech?

Curious.

I have no dog in the fight (registered in North Carolina).

He seemed to me to be a robot and a political lightweight. His "popularity" in Louisiana was not (crap, the word actually escapes me at the moment) . . . homegrown? Authentic? shite most people didn't really know the guy. He came along at the right time with the entire national GOP funding and running his campaign. His ad campaign was horrible and as has mentioned elsewhere on the board, turned off a lot of Republican voters. Nothing of substance whatsoever. Just the drumbeat of Landrieu = Obama.

First, I had nothing to do with it. Promise.

I don't even feel much identity with the Democratic Party per se.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Cassidy is a goofball, imo. No matter what side he's on.

Sad, but true. Yesterday was the most painful vote I've casted in the election cycles.

You posts about terrible republican candidates but cannot acknowledge democrat candidates suck worse? Hence their defeat. GTFO you lost. Tell all the democrats there is no message about terrible republican candidates to control. Your candidates were worse.

I acknowledged a couple of posts earlier that the Democrats are capable of producing shitty candidates as well. I think you're a little high strung, my friend.

New Democrat meme "We lost but your candidates were crappy."

Where exactly does that put your candidates?

Landrieu was no longer aligned with her constituents. She was a moderate democrat in a southern flyover state that started backing a coastal liberal agenda and was the deciding vote on a law that is, at best, controversial.

This election was lost when a senior level senator started following someone like Obama. She's been around Washington for almost as long as he's been alive. She should know better than to jump on board against her constituents wishes. She should not have been so easily influenced by a junior senator with no voting record and terrible leadership experience.

So is Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Patti Murray, Frankin, etc., as was Landrieu. Cassidy will fit right in.
