no one here was taught US history as a kid. you were taught a version that was, quite literally, in every sense, approved by the state. you were taught what a small group wanted you to be taught.
it was the government who taught you about the government, and it should go without saying that they only told you the parts they wanted you to hear.
if that version is what you "know" about history and government, then youre worse than someone who knows nothing at all. youre not only ignorant but your combative about it, youll fight anyone who challenges the thing you dont even understand.

Those Buffalo Soldiers massacred many an Injun, too. Shameful, they weren't considered citizens until after blacks were (I think).
It's time to erase the Buffalo Soldiers from history.
