You folks need to start calling on the Turtle to resign. Mitch is making Biden look like a 20 yr old college kid.

I don’t mean to be cold and uncaring about his condition but it’s pretty clear he has problems and the best place for him is at home getting treatment for his condition not serving in the US Senate.

Mitch is untouchable in this state. He has built a machine around him that controls the entire state Republican apparatus.

As bad as MM is. We have a Democrat governor who gets to appoint his replacement. I don't like the idea of a Dem Senator getting that spot and holding onto it.

KY politics is really weird. Eastern KY still has tons of Blue Dog old school people who will. Vote for certain Dems. NKY and Louisville suburbs are Karen are filled with Karens. Louisville itself is deep blue. And Lexington is a wannabe Austin.
But the rural and Xurb areas that surround all of this is blood red.

The R's have to have a counter for the D's Fetterman and Feinstein. The Turtle is it.

Beshear says the law requiring him to pick a Republican is unconstitutional.

So he may put a dem in there and have the court fight.
Meanwhile while that drags on a dem incumbent will be growing.

Indeed, your senators are Mitch and Rand. Two diametrically opposites inside the GOP

General Assembly passed a law two years ago that requires the Governor to pick from a list of three candidates from the outgoing Senator’s party. Not sure how constitutional that is but it would require a court challenge to overturn.

This is not new, just becoming more obvious. Many suggested his hand picked successor gave up and is currently running for governor because he was tired of waiting.

I think The Turtle was born or grew up in Alabama.

You understand that Kentucky has a Dem Governor right now and he gets to name the replacement, right? They have a new election this year. In the meantime McConnell should step down as Leader and be a Back Bencher in the Senate while we understand that the KY Governor's race is also a Senate race.

Given the fact that there is a Dem Governor, the least he should do is step down as minority leader until a Rep Governor is elected.
I'm not sure when the elections for governor happen in KY.

In many ways. If Beshear wins reelection, it is very likely he ends up running for Senate in either 26 or 28. If he loses, he still may run for Senate, but won't have the impact having been a loser and out of the picture for a few years.

Dems have also mentioned him as a possible VP pick in the future. His policies are all just as left as Biden or Bernie, but for whatever reason his personality appeals to independents and soft Rs. Especially women.

You say "we" like you live in Kentucky, one would think you were familiar with the laws of your state. The governor doesn't select his replacement. The state assembly from the party of the individual leaving the senate does.

It was passed a couple years ago based on MM's urging. He will serve until he either dies or strokes out to the point they can't fake it. Fetterman has shown that faking it can go a long, long away though.

I swear there are times as a woman I hate being a woman because I get grouped in with these dumb a$$ women! So many women in this country just want a warm, cuddly, soft man to lead this country or worse yet as a husband.

Guys, before you group all us in that category, there is still a whole lot of us that admire strong men and want the men in our lives and leaders to actually be mansculine!

frick him, ridicule the hell out of him, DiFi, Fetterman, Biden.. they all deserve every bit of it and more.
A NORMAL human would step down after the public displays these shitheads have had. Can you imagine what's going on off camera? DiFi doesn't even know where she is, her staff is doing her job for her.

NORMAL people don't do that. Anyone who gives a damn about their office or their constituents don't do that.
fricking psychopaths.

Careful what you wish for. The Democratic Gov of Kentucky will appoint someone to take his place.

Lets be fair MM needs to retire and Ky Gov. according to recently approved legis law appoint another conservative Senator like Ky Senator Rand from the Republican party...

BUT only if Feinstein and Biden resign also.

That's only fair .... but you communist folks still think those two demented pols are mentally sound don't you ?

Funny part is Mitch is from Alabama. Something about that state allows people to become political geniuses.
