I'm trying to figure out what the big deal is? Are Christians in Wisconsin threatening to lose their minds over these?

Why do some atheists get their jimmies rustled by religious displays?

They don't.

Well this is just demonstrably untrue. Maybe not ALL atheists, but as an atheist myself, I'm not going to try and pretend that Atheists getting pissed about religious displays is uncommon.

Religious people are a bit more militant if you ask me.

I have encountered people trying to share their beliefs with me. I tell them I'm not interested and they walk away. Never encountered a militant religious person yet.

I try to be as polite as possible and they have always responded in kind.

People can be annoying. The religious and the atheists both have their share of annoying people. Just smile when you encounter them.
