My stepdad is a big fan. I grew up watching Shatner put a beat down on everyone.

I'm curious about this. I never get rapprochements.

My favorite captain

As far as you not getting rapprochements, well...

I wish Chicken would let me be an admin. I would have a blast with that.

Yeah, Picard is a wanker.

Hey, I can be reasonable. Just need a sit down.

I'm surprised they don't have moderators to help them out. Or maybe they do. Who knows. I don't even know who watches the board, but they're not my biggest fan.

I like Picard. He would be my second favorite. But he lets Number 1 get all of the action

You come across pretty rough in your posts. I think by the time we have reached a need for rapprochement, they are ready to toss you out on your ear.

As far as admins, the only one I know of that posts on Poli is L.A. I think that is his beat to patrol.

DB you have a Downvote Stalker. One or two jerk offs DV'ing all your posts in this thread for no good reason.

Ridiculous.

I Upvoted you to make up for their BS.

Mine too. Still a wanker.

Yeah probably. I've never denied being a bit of an a-hole.

He lied. Guess he can't chastise politicians any longer about doing the same - unless he's a hypocrite.

I don't claim to have any valor.

As Robert Heinlein said, "Anybody can soldier in the drop room."

As I indicated earlier I had a rapprochement with the admins.

The 1964 CBS pilot was very cerebral. CBS passed on it. NBC wanted more action, and the fists flew and the phasers phased in the original series. By the time Next Gen came around ST was very established and Roddenberry was able to turn every episode into "Hamlet in Space."

Until the Borg showed up.

A fellow of infinite jest.

It's not me. I don't downvote. I will throw out an occasional upvote, though.

I have somebody that follows me around and downvotes me all the time, too, though. I just prefer to think it means you are effective.

Star Trek First Pilot Credits

This video shows credits from the CBS pilot. This was all done post hoc. The CBS pilot wasn't picked up so it had no credits. Further, the Alexander Courage score was done for the NBC show done a couple of years later.

Jeffery Hunter was approached about being in the NBC pilot but he declined, leaving the way open for Shatner.

He didn't delcine...his wife, agent and ex-model Joan Barlett made so many demands that Gene said basically said frick I don't need this head ache and he was let go according to many reports...

The documentary I saw on him was that his wife told them her husband is a movie star, not a TV star and will not be doing any more television work...
