Im a trump supporter and Im incredibly fed up with the charade of government data constantly released especially the unemployment numbers. There is no way we're at 4.7% unemployment truly as a nation. The labor participation thing is such a farce. Will trump being the anti establishment guy he is, finally end this nonsense? Has he mentioned it at all? I know he mentioned the stock market being a big bubble, but anything else in relation to the numbers?

If we were at 4.7% unemployment we don't have a populist uprising and end up with Trump as president. Period.

So Im with you all the way.

Haven't heard, and I doubt he will have complete access to how much of a joke they are until he gets the keys. I was wondering that too this morning. I'm so sick of the media spouting these BS numbers like nothing has changed.

Obama is responsible for convincing more people they don't need jobs than any president before, what a great president

Nancy Pelosi reminded us how many Americans were "job locked" and not free to pursue their hobbies. Just terrible...

The Obama administration is like a highschool convincing their below average students not to apply for college and then bragging about increasing their college acceptance rate.

How about the fake polls? CNN was getiing off yesterday that Obama was higher than Trump in approval numbers. They actually said, maybe after Carrier Trumps numbers will rise. (they are saying this before he is even sworn in; or Crooked is done trying to recount like a loser)

If he did decide to use real numbers instead of fixed ones, he'd have to reveal those numbers immediately after taking office so all would know it is reflective of Obama's administration and not his doing.

Even if trump uses the garbage indicator of the unemployment rate, you can bet your arse the media will have discovered what labor participation means, and will judge Trump against it. Even though they couldn't comprehend it over the past decade.

Even if he wanted to (which I would complain about all the same) the ms media would suddenly decide to dig into the data and report the true numbers.

If his campaign was any indication, yes.

He should use two sets of numbers to call out the press.

Use the Obama way to report unemployment and use the real way. The press will have to choose how to respond without killing Obama.

False Numbers

Every Politard does it....if they're bragging they use the highest possible number and if they're downplaying something they use the lowest. This is Politard 1.0

This would be awesome.

He should hold a YouTube session or something and show Americans how the UE rate is figured (Clinton's formula) and what the "real" stats are.

Then present those numbers.

He can also tout "saved" jobs like Obama did, but he can actually prove this, unlike Obama.

it would actually be in his best interest, bc if he comes in at 4.7% unemployment he cant really improve on that, but if we're really at 20-25% and he drops us down to 15% then he would be hailed as a hero

No. Trump has never used false numbers or completely made up anything ever.

Personally, I think overhauling the formula would be best for the entire country, honestly. It is clear this formula is always going to reflect "better" for the pols, no matter the situation.

That whole formula needs to be rewritten now.

Trump should explain the U3 and U6 numbers in the State of the Union address and give the real numbers.

Just blow the looney government accounting shell game the frick up.

It's not up to Trump. The press will use the figure that best increases the unemployment rate.

Back in the 80s when the economy was booming under Reagan the press always led with "But not everyone is enjoying the good times." And then they would tell the sad story of some schmuck.

It's happening today. Trump is not even President but the stock market is booming because of his election. So, the NYT is running a story "But not every stock is enjoying the good times."

It's so predictable.

Isn't that a very popular idea on the Poli Board?

No idea, I haven't seen it.

There is a difference between encouraging some at a highschool not to go to college (which is don't agree with) for their own good, and doing it to increase acceptance numbers in order to create a false sense that more students are going to college from that school

You are unemployed if you are unemployed, whether you choose to look for a job or not. The Obama administration beating their chest over the unemployment percentage while the labor force participation took a steep dive is pure deception on their part. There are not fewer unemployed Americans than before.
