Incalculable. Clinton not taking office is like Hitler not taking office.

Why the Trump Hate? by Aubie Spr96 As a die hard libertarian, I find the blinding hate for Trump puzzling. At the end of the day, other than a single SCOTUS nominee, what has the man done? Seriously. No major legislation. No Constituion abusing Executive Orders or military incursions. I just don't get it. At least the Obama hate had a basis: Obamacare, 8 years of perpetual bombing in the ME, overreaching Executive Orders, constant personal interjection into trivial affairs...... I have no problems with someone not liking Trump. It gets fun when I ask them why.

Simple answer, he is not particularly well spoken for a high level politician but he still wrecks Progs/Dims with non PC truth. Absolutely infuriates the snowflakes.

Can I educate you?

The hate for Trump is manufactured because he was a prominent person in our Zeitgeist for 35 years with no mention of him being racist or a white supremacist until he looked to be the Republican nominee.

All of the sudden, this guy with no racist accusations against him that had a show on NBC for 10 years until a year or two before he ran for POTUS is somehow a white supremacist.

Here is where you need to focus:

The Democrat party is horrible and everywhere that they hold sway that isn't some white bread utopia where the Median income is $185,000 is an ungovernable shithole full of murder and suffering because Democrat policies lead to this.

Any questions condescending Libertarian?

It's amazing. In a little under a year they conjured an entire Russian spy conspiracy out of a fake, debunked intelligence dossier. Now they are calling him a white supremacist, because -get this- he condemned ALL violence, hate, and bigotry.

I'm overseas right now and foreigners see this shite on CNN and think it's all true. This stuff is not only affecting our ability to govern and drive the vision for foriegn policy, but its causing people to die in the streets. It's tearing us apart as a people and dems dgaf as long as they can hurt Trump politically. It's disgraceful.

Watch the video linked in this post. This should pretty much explain the hate.

They wouldn't mind Trump if this was about school vouchers, or tax cuts.

Trump is a counter revolutionary though.

He doesn't buy into their vision of green energy, world peace, and gender fluidity.

That's frightening for them. It's an attack on the very basis of their world view.

You were doing pretty decently for someone who hates Trump until you went off the rails here.

I can't wait to see you melt in the very likely event that nothing comes of Mueller's investigation that hurts Trump.

Bush and Obama did far more to do just that in 16 years than anything Trump has done in the past seven months.

Assuming this is not sarcasm - this is the first time I ever recall disagreeing with you on any topic.

The 'hate' for Trump as POTUS is inexplicable - other than the prog/DEM/MSM cabal's hatred for anyone who is not one of "them."

Now on a personal basis, I cannot stand the man - he is everything that I dislike in a human = insincere, braggadocios, petty, inarticulate, seemingly disinterested in history, etc.

However, I find nothing in his policy so far that I can disagree with - and he is fighting against the most hostile press I have ever witnessed - and I recall Truman's upset win.

The prog/DEM/MSM cabal sees his presidency as the beginning of the end of their PC-dependent empire and view him as an existential threat to their continued dominance of the American culture.

For that alone I am squarely on his side, and all his personal shortcomings take a back seat to that universal truth.

I will admit that I voted for him only because he was not Hillary Rodham Clinton, and I really have not one regret over that. There were at least five GOP candidates I would have preferred, but he was the one we got. Anybody but HRC is good for the USA.

This is the guy who said Republicans shouldn't be so mean and conservative, says that nobody should cut Medicare or Medicaid or Social Security, spouts an anti-liberty message on global trade and immigration, and that we ought to remake the Republican Party into a "workers party."

As a supposed "die hard libertarian", how do you not get the hate? This guy is worse than Huey P. Long.

Commingles with north east liberals, Trump elected, melt ensues.

100% sure he faced multiple lawsuits around racial allegations, before he ever "stopped being a democrat." Some of these were brought by our government, some by employees. It's literally insane y'all try and deny these type of allegations didn't exist before 2 years ago.

That's stupid. I actually would have voted for Kasich over Clinton. I've voted for plenty of (R)'s when I think they are the better candidate.

It seems like you've flipped sides when it comes to Trump.

Everything is bluster and feints. He overpromises, then changes his position, and then pretends he didn't.

He adopted a posture of childish taunts with North Korea, and then received a thorough depantsing courtesy of Steve Bannon. What do America's enemies think of the Trump Administration? He's constantly having Mattis, Tillerson, and others have to follow up on his bullcrap and assure other nations (in South Korea, Qatar, Poland, etc.) that Trump didn't really mean what he just said, and continues to say. How is that a healthy behavior?

On the domestic front, where is the leadership on health care? What is with this stupid border adjustment tax nonsense? Why does he keep touting stock market prices like a fool? Everything's about to blow up in his face.

quote:

That is an INTENTIONAL feature of Trumpism. He creates this phenomenon on purpose. It hurts the country, and rallies his own dwindling base. It will not end well for us.

He pulled a political stunt in front of the stars on the wall of the CIA, and made the CIA his enemy. For no good reason. He made the FBI his enemy. (For a very bad reason.) He botched that stupid immigration ban stunt of his. He's a complete jackass that's doing real damage to the country.

Anybody but HRC is good for the USA.

Finally, Trump is definitely a traitor to the country, in a way that no President before him has ever been. This is not some made-up story coming from the anguish of the Left. Far from it. I could go into a lengthy argument about the specifics of the timeline here, and the reasons why we should believe A rather than B, but it gets old, and the truth is going to come out anyway, regardless of what I say on this message board.

In any case, the #1 worse thing to happen to this country is that the electorate has swallowed the "red pill" bullshite from RT.com and other Russian propaganda outlets. Ron Paul, Jill Stein, Glenn Greenwald, Alex Jones, Patrick Buchanan... they're all despicable blame-America-for-everything tools of Putin.

We can make fun of the most gullible of us, like goldennugget and others, and claim "oh, we're not like them." But still, the influence is obvious in other ways too.
