Why is there such a push to not blame COVID on a lab leak?

Because our tax dollars paid for the experimentation that led to covid -and they don't want us to be mad about it.

It wasn't just "a Chinese lab".... It was a freaking joint venture moved from North Carolina to China because it was made illegal in the USA to do what they were doing.
So even when they now say it is probable, they are lying. It isn't probable it is known!

Covid is an american product. Is just outsourced to china like everything else.
Covid got rid of trump. But was going to happen anyway. Even if hillary had won. Is critical to a digital id currently referred to as a vaccine passport. Is a step towards agenda 30.

I'm open to a lot of ideas and it's probably more than one.
This most straightforward (albeit less exciting) one IMO is that China has leverage on most of the Western world and we're at this point largely codependent, and admitting China is responsible for something that enacted great harm on the rest of the world begs the question of why we didn't punish China.
I'm sure there is a good conflict/foreign policy/military term for this, but essentially denying the existence of an event that would otherwise be an escalation because the cost of the escalation is too great.
