I think a lot of folks have a hard time differentiating between what's legal and what's noble. Legally, I think you're right, men have a right to use force to defend themselves from women who are smaller and weaker than they are...

It only takes one swift kick in the balls to put the biggest and strongest man down and the smallest and weakest women know it.

The 21th western cultural norms expect men to treat women as equals.

Rice just treated her the same way he would have treated any man who came at him that way.

It was actually the handrail that knocked her out, but of course he knocked her into the handrail.

That's the point I was making.

He had no intention of knocking her out. He just wanted to get her to stop attacking him.

That's self defense in my book.

GTFO

Yeh, I guess so, since she still wants to initiate physical contact. I think its ridiculous he used that much force but she isn't a victim either. I don't feel the slightest bit sorry for either.

Security footage shows him spitting on her before they got on the elevator and possibly spitting on her in the elevator right before she moved toward him. If anything, he antagonized her before he 'defended' himself.

Does the security footage include the audio so we can hear what she said to him before they got on the elevator?

There is a reason why he spit on her.

And does that warrant her physically attacking him when he tried to push the buttons then back away from her?

Do you make it a practice to spit on women when they say things that upset you?

Bingo

Dumbasses in this country have been brainwashed to believe that a woman getting hit= a battered woman that has been repeatedly abused physically and mentally..... That she is powerless in the relationship because she has been programmed to become completely dependent on her abuser in every way.

It takes a real fricking moron to not have enough common sense to recognize this isn't the case with Mr and Mrs Rice

I'd rather juries be full of men with no class who make their decision based on the evidence than juries full of women with class who make their decision based on sympathy.

I don't make it a practice of spitting on either men or women for any reason.

However, if I did deliberately spit on someone and that person was bigger and stronger than me then I would expect a fight to ensue.

People usually don't deliberately spit on someone for no reason.

Have you ever heard of fighting words, youngster?

Again, Rice spit on her. Do you advocate spitting on women in certain situations?

I just call them as I see them and that's how I see this one.

I know I looked at the evidence with an unbiased eye.

I don't know if people who see it differently than me looked at the evidence with an unbiased eye.
