Besides, do you think he intended to knock her out?

It was actually the handrail that knocked her out, but of course he knocked her into the handrail.

Janay Rice is not pressing charges, she wants everyone to leave them alone. Perhaps this is how they define their relationship.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you have zero understanding of the psychology behind an abusive relationship. I'm sure she loves getting KTFO and dragged unconscious out of elevators.

Probably not, but apparently some people (DawgfaninCa) can't recognize it watching a video of a woman flying through the air as a result of a left hook.

Apparently you are deliberately refusing to acknowledge that in the video she is seen rushing towards him in a physically threatening manner immediately before he hit her.

That makes a big difference.

Ray Rice knocking out his girlfriend has really brought out the ignorance of this place.

It's more likely that she realizes it was her own actions that caused Rice to defend himself and now regrets doing what she did.

Do you believe that no man is ever physically abused by his girlfriend/wife?

I understand the point you're trying to make, but I doubt very seriously that Ray Rice was a battered man.

This is the NFL reacting to emotions not facts.

You are correct.

I'm reacting to facts not emotions and already some members here are freaking out because of it.

However, screw them.

I call them as I see them.

I can't even be angry at this level of sheer, unchecked ignorance.

Security footage shows him spitting on her before they got on the elevator and possibly spitting on her in the elevator right before she moved toward him. If anything, he antagonized her before he 'defended' himself.

He was about to be a battered man if he hadn't defended himself.

So do you think she had the right to rush towards him in the manner she did?

Would the incident have occurred if she backed away instead?

About to be battered? Come on man. Take away the alcohol, the cursing match and her spitting him and there's a good chance he just grabs her instead of punching her. There's no doubt that his state of mind was the main reason he opted to use offense to defend himself instead of defense.

C'mon, be serious. What he did was brutal, brutal. Of he wanted to defend himself he could have done something else like bearhug her or keep her away with an extended arm. But I didn't see her strike out at all. He deserves everything he's getting.

Okay, let's be serious.

Even if he bearhugged her or kept her away with an extended arm she still would have been close enough to him to kick him in the balls.

Besides, he only had an instant to defend himself before she would have been on top of him.

He hit her once and that stopped her from attacking him.

If I was on the jury I would acquit him on the grounds that he used reasonable physical force to defend himself.

Come on man, Rice knows his wife better than you or I know her.

He knew her state of mind and if he grabbed her she would have kicked him in the balls.

That's the first thing an angry woman does when she is close enough.

And damn, she was angry.

See this is the M//O of cray. When they don't understand why the majority doesn't see the world through the eyes of a Neanderthal like them, they blame the media or the liberals for influencing the "sheep". It helps them sleep at night because to actually realize that you're defending a low life wife beater, you may realize you're no better. So everyone else is brainwashed.

I don't blame anyone but her but the feminazis and media are jumping on this just like the black racists jumped on the shooting of Brown in Ferguson.

BTW, have you stopped beating your husband/boyfriend yet?
