What did I point to, re Obama? That Skip Gates and Trayvon thing pretty much DEFINED Obama as being a run-of-the-mill, chip-on-the-shoulder biased/racialist dude in his "spiritual mentor's (Jerimiah Wright) mode...when he was falsely selling himself as a post-racial uniter.

Yeahhhh! And we can keep our doctor. This country LOVES to see Blacks step up and win. As a racial group (not individual) they have been underdogs, and this culture (meritocracy) celebrates such a victory.

But for whiners like your post indicates, and outright LIARS like Obama...no mercy. It's done.

It is an AMERICAN TRADGEDY that the first Black President ended up being a Commie fake who would rather play Chicago politics instead of doing what real leaders do. Lead...by rallying the populous behind extraordinary character and vision.

"AUbused". Perfect name. Screw self-pity. Scapegoating. Denial. Or worse, the contempt and hatred one imagines for them who do the *abusing*.

My theory?

There have always been people who believe govt should be the vehicle for change and believe in large govt with heavy oversight.

And. There have always been people who have a natural distrust of government and wish to see it curbed as much as possible.

As government has gradually expanded in its power and areas of control, two things naturally have happened.

1)The first group of folks are emboldended and want ever more govt power and govt control.

2)Group 2, who in say, 1850 might've seens govt power expansion as a fleeting concern now see it as a full on emergency.

Basically, those two groups are moving away from each other with each group becoming more hardcore than ever before.

I don't "parrot", A. I'm for real. Pot meet kettle!

And I was out of bed at 4 in the morn to help my daddy milk cows (with his hands) before I started first grade. As most of the Blacks and Whites were in my community. And I picked cotton with my Black neighbors; they got paid...I didn't; because I thought it was fun. And I got to go to the mill with my Grandpa.

Educate yourself! Parrot!

The right in this country is getting more and more desperate. Look at the conservative posters here. They know that the country is moving toward the left and socialism and they know that their only hope is fascist tactics. That's why you see them demonizing the president and the left in this country, they see which way the wind is blowing. Look at what we got. We have Obamacare and gay marriage. Ten years ago you never would have guessed that we would have that. The right is desperate and willing to destroy the country instead of leading the country into a new direction.

They would rather ruin the USA instead of change it. They are scared to death of what is coming.

Hey Ralph...I used to be a Commie in my youth. The "from each...." thing. Ideal and just. Until I observed people for 20 or so years. And then I realized that most of the prosperous folk were hard working and honest.....and many of the *poor* were slackers looking for freebies, for whatever reason.

Yeah...this country is moving Left, and I said as much in my first post in this thread. But it damn sure ain't because that movement was OPENLY and honestly debated, with all the pluses and minuses aired. We got the Morsi 'no Sharia', "you can keep your doctor" version...or your dear leader would have been on the golf course this morning.

Gay marriage! Who gives a crap about who or which body cavity somebody does, when we've got serious life and death challenges here.

And you are spot on re the Right "willing to destroy the country". They aren't scared...they are pissed! They claim God-given rights...and Marxist are going to have to take those rights with force. Or at the least, honest persuasion instead of political lies. Ask Morsi how lying worked out for him.

The economy is shrinking, QE won't be able to prop it up forever; at some point, QE BECOMES the problem, and not the crutch. When that happens...the Military makes the call. Guess what.

Pray for the hope in technological future re the book "Abundance"; then you'll see your 'social justice'. That is if "The Transhumanist Wager' bunch don't triumph. If they do...your 'Proletariat' is ("humanicide") toast...lest they produce.

Real justice and prosperity is based on merit, buddy. Qualified. The rest is delusion and chasin rainbows.

Because the debates are framed with circular discussion regarding matters that don't matter.

This allows the leaders to adequately handle world affairs out of the limelight. Both sides have fully embraced this tactic and have made it more and more sophisticated over time.

Notice how zero legislation is pushed through without massive gluts of riders and bullshite hat nobody ever knows about. Again, both sides here.

Your "change" and "hope" is ruining the country. All of the principles that made this country great are being changed by Mr. Sotero and his cronies and this is what you get. You want to see Ralph Wiggum's wet dream? Look at Detroit, Compton, Chicago, Fresno and Oakland. Prime examples of the future of leftist governance.

So, the right should join in leading the country toward leftism? But, then they wouldn't be the right. They'd be the left.

What I find different though is most lawyers know they are in a courtroom. They'll go at it tooth and nail, then when the trial is over have a drink together. They don't take it personally.
Their clients take it VERY personally.

Astute observation, NC. It's always the ones who bear the consequences that take it personally. Kinda like the house always wins in a card game. The players just want an honest deal.

Of course they do NC, but I think your analogy was to the courtroom behavior, i.e. the lawyers. At least that was the premise of my remark.

It's simple really.

________ are TRAITORS. ______ are trying to DESTROY America. Is this the America you remember? Thanks, ______! ______ is so evil, and also incompetent! It's amazing that ______ gets out of bed in the morning, and yet ______is the most brilliant criminal mastermind who ever tried to take America apart brick by brick! _______ will enslave the sheeple to their ideology!

Take your pick: The Democrats / The Republicans; Obama / Bush

One in the same.

It's quite unforgivable how they have handed the American middle class their arse on a silver platter with their terrible domestic policy under the past two administrations.

Because many people have different beliefs about what the state can and should do, just like any other religion.

No. When you turn earners into takers (by outsourcing their jobs) there is bound to be animosity.

For many, politics is a sport.

It's human nature to defend YOUR
team (party) and attack the opposition.

Politics is about winning and losing.

It's no longer for a greater good of
all people. (Imho)

I can't figure it out. President Obama is such a uniter. He never speaks ill of those who oppose him politically or ideologically. He never blames anyone but himself and his party for any failures and always accepts responsibility for any shortcomings. He's such a swell guy, I just can't imagine how anyone just doesn't love him.
