Five U.S. intelligence/security agencies have concluded it. That's plenty proof for most rational, objective people.

The report contains some of what the officials called "minor footnotes" about open questions and other uncertainties, in part because some of the evidence supporting the conclusion is inferential.

One such example, the officials said, was that intercepted messages and conversations among senior Russian officials in Putin's inner circle indicated they were aware of the hacking campaign and celebrated Trump's election as a victorious end to the campaign.

The officials declined to discuss the nature of the communications, including whether they were domestic, international, or both.

"People who knew what this was about were celebrating a victory over the United States," said one official.

Another example of inferential evidence, the officials said, was that as time passed and the early leaks attracted media attention that undermined or eclipsed Clinton's campaign, the Russians increasingly focused their hacking "almost exclusively" on Democratic rather than Republican targets.

There was also strong resemblance -- including the use of the same computer malware -- the Russians have used against targets in Europe and the marriage of traditional espionage tactics used by Soviet and Russian intelligence such as bribery, blackmail and internet vulnerabilities, which they said Putin has devoted increasing resources and attention to exploiting.

For example, one official said, the Democratic databases and email servers the Russians hacked also contained personal information that Wikileaks has not published.

Such information could be used to search for financial, medical, browsing history and other records that can be used to target individuals for recruiting efforts by Russian spies.

Legitimate question?

It is not terrifying, but it is disturbing.
Flynn allegedly undermined the authority of a sitting president, and then lied about it after the fact. Coupled with the allegations of Russian ties to the trump campaign, and trumps sudden admiration for Russia, it raises some eyebrows.

at your post.

As usual, another empty post from a Trump apologist who has no intelligent response to facts. You are the personification of Trump's "fake news."

America's best interests

Yeah Iran far better for America's best interests...you know the largest terrorist country barry gave pallets of cash to as they were screaming "death to America". and have been to this very moment. Hell maybe they'll stop if we give them a few more billion. But the Russians. It will comforting to know, if we have to take action against Iran we will have the added bonus of the Russians to fight because the stupid liberals can't seem to figure out having good relations with them are good. "But,but muh hillary...it was her turn and the Russians stole it from us". This shite is old and stupid as frick, but whatever keeps the dream alive.

Are you as stupid as you sound? Do you actually believe the geo-political landscape is the same as it was in 1941? You Trump apologists are beyond stupid.

We fought against a common enemy. As did most of the countries on Earth. We were hardly BFF's.

I wouldn't mind the Logan act being enforced, but if so, it needs to be enforced across the board. That means senators like McCain, Schumer, Rubio, etc all get prosecuted.

We'd lose half the senate. NTTAWWT

Trump was briefed and saw classified portions of the report.
From the second article I posted: “As far as hacking, I think it was Russia,” Trump said.

it is crazy that intelligence agencies say it's so, even Trump accepts it is so, but you maintain skepticism to defend Trump (who, again, accepts the conclusion that it was Russia)

For one, he said his administration hasn't been in contact with Russia. If he said from the beginning that they had been, ok. But if he has been, obviously he told a lie.

Coverup's worse than the crime often times. If he's willing to lie about this what else will he lie about?

Why do I need to tell you this? The fact that the Russians DID interfere in the election is beyond dispute. It's recently been confirmed that Trump campaign officials, including his erstwhile National Security Advisor, had extensive contacts with Russia during and after the campaign. That leaves the very obvious question as to whether or not the Trump people colluded with the Russians in their interference in the election in favor of Trump.

The fact that I had to explain simple, basic stuff like this to you is pretty sad. Do you read newspapers or follow actual news at all?

There is nothing wrong with it or with the new administration liaising with them as Flynn did before the inauguration.

Because Democrats think the Russians hacked the election.

because every intelligence gathering agency of the US knows that Russia interfered in the outcome of the most sacred part of our democracy, the transfer of power.

now we know, the investigative agencies know that they actually colluded with campaign members.

which you and any Trumpkin just became a Russian pawn in swaying world power.

I think it's highly possible that the Trump administration is going to be the most corrupt one since Nixon's.

I honestly don't think its corruption. I think the administration is just clueless. People know the game way better than trump.

I understand the need for an outsider to truly drain the swamp. Trump just is not the guy for this job.
