My BF tweeted one of the commentators the other day and said, "ESPN on sports is now the equivalent what MTV is to music." He was answered, "That's cold" lol

I may be way off base here,but I bet most of their writers,producers,personalities,are Northern Sports Fans,and maybe would like to start steering the better athletes away from Southern Schools.

He's absolutely right.
ETA: I wish SEC football games would get picked up by other networks so I wouldn't have to watch any ESPN stations.

ESPN has been headed this direction for years. I haven't watched anything but sports or documentaries on that family of channels for at least since that award was given to Bruce Jenner for whatever the frick he did that was so brave and courageous.

Part of it is I just don't have the time to sit and watch ESPN, either.
If the TV is on, it'd better be entertaining me. ESPN waxing political doesn't entertain me.
