Russian has a billion posts, too, but that doesn't make him any more truthful on this issue.

Well, BRPD picked up the Mall with the annexation. But not all of the Mall is actually annexed. So there's that.

So now you want to argue with another poster over semantics?

If I don't know who is knocking on my door I might answer and I might not. If I know who is there and I don't want to hear their crap, I don't answer the door.

Is that so difficult for you to understand how a homeowner might sometimes answer the door and sometimes not answer the door?

You've become completely juvenile in your arguments. That tells me how desperate you are.

That annexation happened this summer.....and EBRPSO continued patrols after the annexations. That's not relevant to the context of historical patrols and funding. Those are all recent developments.

Yeah a-hole. But I'm not Russian. I'm a guy who was giving you his two cents and bantering respectfully with you until you called me a liar. Now go frick yourself.

And for the record, thank God the St George crowd has such shitty, unpersuasive spokesmen agitating on message boards. With puffed-up-little-farts like you out there insulting people and acting like haughty frickwads, St. George doesn't stand a chance.

I have been harassed by the volunteers going to the grocery store and getting gas in the unincorporated area. They don't take no for an answer, you pretty much have to tell them to get out of your face.
That's exactly why I signed. It's easier to say you will sign that by refusing to sign.

The last time I went to the shopping center where they seem to always be I said I didn't want to sign (without telling the person why I didn't want to sign) and I actually thought I was going to be physically assaulted by the guy at the table. He raised his voice, asked me why I hated the idea of kids getting a good education, what did I have against grassroots democracy, what was my interest in keeping the status quo, blah, blah, blah...

Come to think of it, that guy's attitude is very similar to sprokets attitude on here to anyone who opposes the incorporation.

I resolved to record the next time I go there and the table is set up. I'll video the next encounter if he's there and post it on here if it happens again.

You all are sure worried about something that doesn't stand a chance.

And I know you're statements on people visiting your home multiple times are false. If that's "puffing up" to you then so be it.

And Russian, you denigrate every one of these threads into stupid semantical arguments. You walk away from your own words:

38 million
9+2-2=11
Bodi White withdrew his bill
The annexation is a done deal(MOLA)
Rainey is getting paid
$100k raised
Signatures for 2 years
No SG paperwork filed
Police Service will decline in SG
BRPD will no longer have mutual aid with Sheriffs
BRPD patrols SG

Yes really. You can pretend to be amused all you want to, but the fact remains you agreed with the link's article.

No I don't.

I answered your lies months ago. You just keep repeating the lies anyway. So I'll just start repeating my response to your lies every time you do.

You missed the point. I agreed with the article, that's why I posted it. The article was an opinion on why SG should drop what they had. It never said what SG was going to do, only what McKay thought they SHOULD do. And I agreed.

You were so sure you posted in that thread:

I just heard the faint sound of Russians head exploding.

And by starting that thread you proved you don't know the difference between "affecting" and "effecting."

How many times have you told us since last May that the petition was almost finished and about to be submitted? 4? 5? 6?

I've lost track.

You've claimed it was about to be submitted in time for the November election and then when that didn't happen it was going to be ready for the December runoff election. Now that's not going to happen.

So answer the question, how many times have you predicted the petition almost had the signatures it needed and about to be submitted?

Frankly I've lost count.....

Oh Russian did that, not you, right? Dipshit.

Confrontation and talking politics with my neighbors is generally not my style. But my casual and polite opposition has just turned into a personal cause. Thanks for waking me up to the idiocy The St. George movement. Before today, I had just thought you were concerned citizens who wanted the best for our community that had politely knocked on my door. But now I know I have no front door. Or home. Or kids.

Now I also know your "movement" is populated by one-issue zealots who will gladly lie and obfuscate and are completely unworthy of the respect I so naively granted you. I know they are engaging in the same tactics and disingenuous style of debate that they rightly criticize many of their opponents of. The other side of the same crooked coin.

Now I have issue-clarity. Because I'm a liar. Posting here from Kip's palatial tax-payer-funded secret love-shack somewhere in the 70805. Not from a home with a door that can be knocked on. No home. No guac. No kids.

I've said it numerous times. They announced in July there were 17k plus signatures.

They have MORE than enough signatures as of now, they are working on a buffer. WHEN they turn them in is an entirely different question. The question of WHEN is something I don't speculate on, and is very different than the question of CAN they turn them in. I've said in previous posts I wish they would have dropped already.

As the McKay article referenced, there could have been good reason to drop them before summer. They didnt.

does this prediction of yours worry you now:

Had they actually had financial data to support the claim that taxes would increase then people would withdraw their signatures by the thousands.

Well now I know you are lying. Earlier you didn't capitalize the word "more". And I know for a fact , because discipline is so tight in The St. George movement, that we don't do such things. We are strictly prohibited from capitalizing "mid-sentence" more than once in the same post.

It's obvious that you are a double secret agent and a traitor to the St. George cause, sent here to diabolically alienate people of good will and turn them into vocal opponents.

I'm on to you, Nancy.

You told me I was wrong in May when I said they were nowhere close to the 18,000 signatures they wanted to get. LINK

That was when Lionel Rainey The Third was claiming they were getting 500 signatures a week.

So in July when they announced they had "17k plus signatures" (as you wrote above) it meant I was correct when I posted on May 7 they weren't close to the number of signatures they needed and to which you wrote, "You couldn't be more wrong."

So you have speculated for months on how many signatures they have collected. Or you've just been lying about it.

Stop lying.

care to comment on this gem of yours:

quote:

Anyway, I'm not against the annexation of the mall. I'm against the issue being used to try to thwart the SG movement. And now, I'm against the annexation dragging out and causing more problems. I'd let it be annexed tomorrow if I could. But it won't. As I said, the annexation that was passed on may 14 by the metro council is invalid, and will be declared void/null/invalid/dead etc.

or how the railroad was going to stop it?

You were. However since neither one of us have a stack of petitions in front of us, we will just disagree. SG announced in July there were 17k+. That's good enough for me.

I will give you this: LR3 can't predict what the acquisition rates were and are going forward. Nobody could.
