Why do networks not show streakers/people in the field?

So as to not give them attention and give rise to copycats seeking fame, right?

So why do they not do it for serial killers and mass shooters?

The networks have an anti gun agenda to push.

My guess would be to get it out in public so for one, people in the area can take necessary precautions to protect themselves, and two so people can report anything suspicious to police that may help the investigation

Nah, it’s just because they can make more money off tragedies

I am talking about after they are caught/killed.

Gotcha....I guess because it’s usually a very large story. Not saying I agree with it, just saying that’s probably why

I'm not sure I can equate the streaker on the field with a serial killer.

Serial killers are more newsworthy just given the impact on a community and destruction in their wake. But maybe that's just me.

They probably wouldn’t show a shooters dick and balls either

Because you can't sweep 20+ kids being shot dead in an elementary school under a rug like you can a streaker on the field.

Because streakers cost networks money by wasting time while shooters generate money by gaining viewers based on coverage.

Would be the most valuable entertainer on the field. Can't have that.

Someone has to explain the nearly 60 dead and 500 injured. I mean, you agree with that, right?

Because a streaker at a sporting event is a sideshow. A serial killer is news.

They don’t show a mass killer in the act of slaughtering people. They spotlight him afterwards, when he’s either dead or in custody.

If you’d like to do the same with streakers, you’re welcome to go down to a courthouse and watch some pudgy bastard get a fine and some community service.

Good God...

I am not speaking of the event(s), I am talking about identifying the perpetrator.

I am not saying "don't talk about Las Vegas," I am saying don't say Paddock's name. Just call him the shooter and don't show his picture.

Well those are pretty newsworthy events - not to say that the MSM doesn't milk it more than the should.

A better example might be why they show the kneelers. That certainly has not more news value than a streaker - both instances show individuals making a 'look at me' statement.

IF they just didn't show the kneelers, didn't comment on them - other than to perhaps say that 'another couple of jerks doing something stupid' - there wouldn't be any more copycats.

Let a person protest - deal with him if he breaks rules - but don't glorify his actions.

It's a frigging football game - concentrate on the game - ignore the distractions - like they do with the streakers.

Why do they show players kneeling?

Me thinks, an agenda to push, they have.
