Why didn't Ossoff just move to the district?

There is no doubt that was a big issue for a lot of people.
With all the money the idiots spent on the race, could he not just switch to a new apartment in the GA-6?
I'm glad he didn't, but this seems like more self-inflicted wounds for the democrats.

valid question.
You would think, at the very least he would have signed a lease on a place to move into the district prior to voting day, even if it was too late to register.
I'm not sure if he would have won regardless though.

Every story I read about the race mentioned two things: The outside money, and the fact that he didn't live in the district.
I think it was a huge deal. People hate outsiders influencing their lives.

Maybe I'm wrong as I don't live in the area, but I really don't think it was that big of a deal. He grew up in that district, and only lived a few miles outside of it. It probably influenced some votes, but not enough to swing the election.
Him being a Dem and getting so much money from outside groups are why he lost. He had an uphill battle to begin with, and the outside money didn't help.
And he did say he would move to the district had he won.

Because he is following his woman around while she pursues a career.

I heard him say the move wasn't convenient for his girlfriend.
As previously stated.....arrogance

His girlfriend's career was more important than his career or the constituents he wanted to represent.

Because then his wife would have had to DRIVE or take public transportation to her Emory Med School classes. Do you have any idea the kind of stress that could put on a person? Shame on you!

Since when the left play by the rules?

It may not have caused the loss, but in such a close and important race with that much money spent, why risk it over something so simple to correct?
He literally just needed to lease a new apartment. He didn't even have to live in it.
He could have moved in with a roommate in the district.

What a colossal waste of money Dems
Any takeaways from the exit polling?
This is boding very well for the mid-terms already

Maybe he is just an honest guy and not a dirty politician?

You don't think the GOP campaign would have honed in on that had he done that?
It wouldn't have mattered. As soon as the Paul Ryan linked PAC sent money down there and linked Osoff to Nancy Pelosi, it was over. Osoff probably wasn't winning before that happened, but that was the nail in the coffin. I live in a similar district in Alabama, though much more conservative. If there's one person people here hate more than Obama, it's Pelosi.

I'm laughing my Ossoff about yesterday's election.
