Why can't GOP on any level win EBR parish, even when they win LA in blowout?

It used to be a parish where the republican would win if there was a blowout. Bush won it by ten points. TEN, despite winning LA by only 14 in 2004. Trump won LA by 20 points and lost it by 7.

Kennedy won LA by 25 points and lost it by 5.

The frick is going on there lately? Invasion of SJW going to LSU?

EBRP is not representative of the state, politically or racially.

1) Large black population gives the Democrats a head start.

2) The socon and business conservative factions in EBR hate each other.

White flight to surrounding parishes combined with a very very bad candidate. To win an election, you still have to have a good candidate. Broome is no Kip, but she's closer to Kip than Bodi is. Bodi has zero charisma, and comes accross as "more of the same" in a year when republicans wanted real change. Broome is a continuity candidate, and the dems in EBR mostly wanted that with a few reforms in policing. Broome promised them that, and she wanted.

The Democrat gave her constituents what they wanted. The Republican didn't.

True, but this was a parish wide vote.

You also have a bunch of liberal college students and professors that add to the democrat vote.

its not s majority black parish.

I believe there are more Dems, and Republican candidates have not been very good locally,

Roughly 48/46 White/black

But white voters must not be as politically diligent as black voters, who carefully and thoughtfully study the candidates and issues, ponder all the short and long-term implications, then vote 95% in favor of the democrat every time.

Why lol? Republicans had won EBR regularly in the early 2000s.

So what about Trump, Kennedy, (we'll skip Vitter), Cassidy, Mitt, McCain?
