Why does this simple situation need to be complicated in every different direction? Right wingers organized a legal protest rally, a group that included neo-Nazi and apparently Klan members, but to what extent I've never heard anyone clarify.
Antifa showed up to break up the rally, as they do whenever someone they disagree with holds rallies or tries to speak on campuses. The police stood down, it turned violent, and one mentally unstable right winger plowed into a group of leftists.
Both sides were organized to some degree and both sides knew there would be violent confrontation when Antifa showed up because, again, this has sadly become normal.
The media has played it one direction and has refused to permit anything except a single, simplistic narrative to be viewed as acceptable, even though they don't contend that anything the president said was untruthful, which is exactly in line with their M.O.

I don't see why it has to be some big conspiracy. Civil war monuments, alt right, Nazis, white supremacists, loud and angry alt-left groups, a culture where the only way to get something done is to get in someone's face and scream............what can possibly go wrong?
