Yep, and it doesnt take much pondering to see why they feel that way. The Clintons ushered in a new breed of political discourse, where issues and ideals were no longer debated in good faith. The "opposition" would, from then on, be labeled as evil. Evil forces need to be stopped, at ANY cost. This is why old "liberals" on this board whistle past the graveyard in every thread about lawfare, warrantless spying, political targeting from the IC and IRS, media censorship, or journalists being strong armed by government.

That was just Nixon and his legal counsel's interpretation of the law. Apparently the law is unclear about this question or SCOTUS would not be answering this question right now.
