I understand your point of view, but consider this.
Alot of people on the Left will do anything necessary to protect their way of life. People will become soldiers when the time really arrives and a war in inevitable, history has proven that.
Also, another Civil War would effectively be a nuclear war. We are talking about a American death scale larger than WW2. Whoever wins is left building back the entire country.
Also, most of the military may be republican, but who will people really fight for. Everyone isn't going to fight for their state like the previous civil war. Also keep in mind the South is composed of the most blacks in the US. Alot of them are not going to fight for Republicans.

As I said before, it won't be based on states. It will be rural vs. urban.
And urban folks don't want that fight.

They talked about "black people being handed nooses everywhere" and the mainstreaming of "white supremacy" and the continued "murder of people of color by police officers".
We're going to have to fight it out eventually. The left wants it.
